    It’s a good phone period. Up there with the Samsung Ultras and IPhones. Nuff said.

    Man i have had no problems with 9 pro XL and i have 24 ultra and 16 pro to compare to.

    • @thereviewd
      @thereviewd  5 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Same boat, mostly good just some build quality issues for my device specifically. Preordered the s25 ultra so I’m excited for that.

      @thereviewd I dropped my 9 pro XL from like a foot with a pitaka case on and the aluminum dented way to easilyy only beef . Waiting on the 25 ultra also got all my dam cases today wth.

    • @thereviewd
      @thereviewd  5 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @solomonkane408 I’m one of those people who doesn’t use a case…it fell out of my hand onto my desk at work…maybe slid an inch on the screen and had a deep scratch. Drove me crazy. My s24u on the other hand, I’ve dropped it…3 times, once on the screen, still flawless.

    Gemini is considered a gimmick? How? 😂

    • @thereviewd
      @thereviewd  10 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Gemini Live specifically, right now. It’s really good, it’ll be great when you don’t have to trigger it, it’s just always there like a companion. Honestly the vision I have is like an iron man type of assistant, it’s always available, there are no trigger words to invoke it, you just have a conversation.

      @@thereviewdCan it play music without unlocking yet?

    • @thereviewd
      @thereviewd  10 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @everusualsuspect I gotta say…that’s a really obnoxious thing. I use google assistant to control my lights and Gemini (through Google Assistant) always requires me to unlock first. The point of using the assistant is for convenience 😂. Good point.

    • @everusualsuspect
      @everusualsuspect 10 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @thereviewd yeah, it killed it for me because of when I'm driving. I've had to go back to Google Assistant until they fix it for Gemini.

    dang... 2-3 months is a long-term now? don't give apple the idea to reduce their warranty period bruh...

    • @thereviewd
      @thereviewd  13 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Living with a phone for 3 months is a decent amount of time to learn about a phone and really get familiar with all its quirks and features, for techies and normal people…at least i feel like it is. For example, i lived with the galaxy s24 ultra for about 5 months and really got to know all the good and the bad.

      @thereviewd I think you just proved his point.

    • @thereviewd
      @thereviewd  13 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Honestly, since I don’t script anything it’s just more conversational. Eventually I’ll get there but good point. I appreciate it!

      I mean, a longer term review (say 6 months or closer to a year) would make the video irrelevant for most people as we gear up for the pixel 10 series or at least that’s my mindset. My fear is, the longer I wait the less interest there would be in a video about a phone that 9-10 months old since were on an annual cycle.

    The 9 pro don't make any creaking s sounds. I was going to trade my nine Pro in for the 9 Pro XL but if it's creaking I don't want it. I'm going to wait till Samsung Galaxy s25 Ultra can come out or maybe the s25 plus

    • @thereviewd
      @thereviewd  12 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      Yeah i noticed on reddit and just searching on Google the XL was the one that exhibited the behavior only. No one with a regular pro reported the issue. One person actually got Google to send them a new one. It doesn't affect the performance its just a weird issue for an expensive phone. I'm right there with you though, based on how good the s24 ultra was, i already signed up for the $50 credit Samsung was offering... I am without a doubt getting the S25 Ultra.

      @jjeter1 12 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @thereviewd Im glad I ran across your video. I'll talk to Verizon last night how about switching my 9 pro for the xl. So I got 25 days to switch it hopefully the s25 will be out before my 30 days is up..

    • @jjeter1

      Yeah that 25 ultra is where its at. Unless you check overseas. Everything is overseas now.

      Yeah I’m happy with the XL overall. Fit the s25 it’s getting announced January 22nd tomorrow and should be out soon after that.

      If the issue was isolated to just me, I’d agree or just a faulty device, but it’s an issue many people are having and isolated to the Pixel 9 XL.

    • @thereviewd
      @thereviewd  12 วันที่ผ่านมา +3

      @EllEmm149 just to be clear that’s typically the OIS motor, this creaking is originating around the middle (on the sides) of the phone. Kind of reminiscent of the squeeze to summon google assistant from older pixels.

      I absolutely agree, I’ve been coming around more and more. I think it’s super interesting what it can already do and based on my line of work, learning to embrace and integrate it (sooner rather than later) is how you stay ahead of the curve.

    The charging sucks so bad, I've had mine since release, it heats up, slows down, and charging is horrible. I lokey regret not waiting for the OnePlus.

    • @thereviewd
      @thereviewd  11 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Yeah considering what’s available that’s never been a focus point for google even it would be a really good competitive advantage. OnePlus has always done a great job of prioritizing fast charging. Now I will say with my pixel dock 2, it’s not toooooo bad, but there’s obviously better out there. Even the wired charging is slow which stinks.

    Pixel phones always have problems cause of hard ware Google makes to much money to cheap with they devices they have a open platform that's the problem that's why Apple will always win I'm a android user but I give apple the props when it comes to they security
