I wish this still worked. I'm finding empty categories and commands that no longer work. Does anyone have an update on anything related to this. I wish UBNT would bring this back or at least explain why they won't. It seems like a good feature to utilize.
@@elvispressedtalot9899 I've update to the latest FW, but as soon as I add a category and then add websites as an app, it returns an error that the app is unknown.
I have an ER Lite v1.9.1 and the "/usr/sbin/ubnt-dpi-util show-cat-apps TopSites-Adult" comes up empty. It seems like this catergory has been flushed entirely. Other categories like "Streaming-Media" are still there and populated. There are a few topics on the ubnt forums about this now, but no official reply. :(
Awesome video. Helps with something I am trying to implement. I've also looked around bit to try to do something else besides DNS Filtering and tried have also tried Squid w/ Squidguard and that last one does not block https. Basically what I want to do is block all traffic with the exception of one single domain. Unfortunately Squid and you DPI approach does not work for the solution I need to have implemented. Any suggestions you may be able to offer?
funny how google says connection not secure and says may be trying to steel info i dont know about u but my pc is very expensive and i wont go on sites like that even if its not a bad site id rather be safe then sorry
Looks like those config files are no longer in your directory. Could you upload them again?
can I create a category with my own URLs? In otherwords I want to create a list of permitted sites for my kids? Or maybe I want to track work sites.
Thanks for the informative tutorial. Much appreciated by me. Not so much appreciated by my teenager. Thanks!!
Is there a way to block a URL that is not in any of the Categories?
Good day, The firmware is updated but the list of adult websites is empty.
