Back when football games were great, i remember getting this loading up the game and thinking this isnt great, felt very hard to score etc, within an hour it was the best football game i ever played. Then came 4,5 and 6 all great games. Scoring was a real challenge and master league was the best thing ever.

This game is much more difficult and satisfying than PES6. It's a shame that at the time KONAMI wasn't visionary and created several generic leagues and a Master League that allowed you to play with a team's original players at the start of the game.
The best intro ever. And scoring a goal was the most satisfying feeling in a football game of that generation. Too pity Konami screwed it up with the time passed and lost it to EA, which produces every year the same sh.... and call it FIFA. I must admit PES2021 was still good and enjoyable. But i do not get the newest Konami project called efootball. They ruined the game totally in my eyes
man i remember having the pc version of this game . it was so laggy in my shitty computer and had to increase the game speed to conpensate for it . still love this game .
Only football game which never annoyed me with passing. Every other game the players would sometimes pass the ball to the wrong person and drive me crazy 😂
@@GamingNorth1400 i have played PES and only PES since the beginning. First on Super Nintendo ISS98. PES 5 and 6 were good because of ball physics and so on but the Gameplay in both games was limited. The PC Versions could be completely edited - this was magic. Creating own chants, stadiums, banners, kits, faces. Editing made this early versions PES 4,5,6 so special. As i mentioned first this is MY own opinion (after playing nearly 100 matches in eFootball since the latest patch).

PES clearly died with PES 14. The new engine was pure shit and the game never felt like the good days before.
