  • If I had known this install would be this easy and quick I would have done it years ago. I hope this helps your decision. Cheers.

    Do you have an update as to how your finding this set up works after posting the original video?

      It’s absolutely brilliant. It’s been in and out multiple times and ran for 2 weeks straight in Scotland 👍

    Great idea! How does it handle the heat coming up from the transmission on a long run? I could almost fry an egg on the middle seat box!

    How long will the jackery run it for of one charge without topping the jackery power up?

    I'd be more interested to see how much you can actually fit in it for a weekend away or whatever. Got to have my bacon and egg butty for brekkie and fit the beer in there as well lol

    Finally i've found another friend that mount a "cubby box" fridge!! I've a 25 liters INDEL B in the same position since 2010, is perfect in this place. GOOD WORK!!!

    I’ve got the same fridge squeezed into my Jimny. Wicked bit of kit never used the app with it though. Going to have to try that. Ever fancy a meet on the lanes let me know 👍🏻.

    Very neat install. I wonder if the 2w draw is the flipping Bluetooth Tx/Rx.

    Thats a nice looking fridge there. I bought 39L expensive one but it is bit tall. Only used once,,,, Ummm I am not sure If I want remove an Iconic cabby box for it though. No space at back?????

    I have an Alpicool 45 litre fridge and the Jackery 1000 will run it for days. Great combo.

      Why not plug the fridge at the 12 volt cigarette plug?

      @@BorisTheDefender what about when car or truck is running? Might sound like a stupid question but I don’t have much clue how these electrical stuff work. So what if i plug it in truck cigarette plug for while i am driving ? Then after that i would put it in a power station and this would keep me for weeks with the fridge (i am a truck driver)

    • @BorisTheDefender
      @BorisTheDefender  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @e.h97 yeah that would definitely work. It also has a low battery cut off. So it won’t fully drain the battery just in case you leave it plugged in

    Last year i bought the Alpicool K25 for our trips to France, we went on two separate trips to Provence and the Dordogne.
    I had it in the back of my Defender running off a Bluetti EB70, it worked absolutley flawlessly througout the 40 degree heat. It looks identical to yours (not the raised lid etc) and you can get the full sized milk in upright, plenty of room for water and wine!
    I had the Bluetti plugged into my 12V socket as we drove and the fridge obviously plugged into the Bluetti, It REALLY made the holiday, to have cold drinks on tap is fabulous, not to forget i used to pull over, boil some water in my 650 watt kettle plugged into the Bluetti and get the fresh milk out for a cuppa, can highly highly recommend.
    Kind regards
    Tony

    Having a fridge in the back of my 110 is one of my favourite additions to my defender, no idea how I managed without one before but now I would not go anywhere without a car fridge, a huge must have for me!

    The higher one would of been better as a arm rest

  • @Jabber-ig3iw

    Only slight issue is those vents are slightly covered and in hot weather they will make the cabin even hotter, but you are never cold in a Defender anyway so 🤷‍♂️

    • @BorisTheDefender
      @BorisTheDefender  ปีที่แล้ว

      It may look like that but they actually aren’t covered at all

    • @Jabber-ig3iw

      @@BorisTheDefender even by your legs when you are sat in the seat? I’m tempted to put a fridge in the front of my defender, we have one in the back but it’s quite small so adding a second one would give up added capacity

    • @BorisTheDefender
      @BorisTheDefender  ปีที่แล้ว

      @Jabber-ig3iw yeah lots of room. Both being blocked at all
