Not to say that 'Time' was the best or anything, but yeah really good albums.
@@willvsw2508I’d do some more research. She filled the gap when Green left. Went on the road 10 days after they asked her to formally join the band. Hung in through MULTIPLE personnel changes. Left England thinking she’d be back in 6 months and ended up staying in America for 30 years. Turned the corner for them with Over My Head. I could go on.
Back in the day, I had two favourite ladies, both called Chrissie! Evert and McVie. All these years later (over 40 years) Christine McVie is still gorgeous, a lovely person and a fantastic musician and writer!
8:02 Neither Lindsey nor Stevie can wipe the smiles off of their faces when he talks about their great “two-part harmonies” that took them till 8:00 in the morning.😜😉 If you watch all four parts of this video, he can’t keep his hands off of her, kissing her hair or looking right at her when she speaks. (She always looks over to him when he speaks, too.) It’s been documented that they hooked up again briefly during The Dance, mostly born from how he’d been there for her when she was trying to beat her klonopin addiction. In the “In Your Dreams” doc in 2012, Stevie admitted (without using his name) that she had been terrified to go on tour fresh out of rehab, and her brief reunion with Lindsey before he went back to Kristen was very special and helpful to her, and that’s what “For What It’s Worth” is about. You can’t take your eyes off the chemistry in this video.
They’re toxic like mixing a strong acid with bleach. Both great to have on their own. Not sure how sweet it would have felt to the estranged wife at the time.
Their music reminds me of the best times in my life...thank you for being logical, driven human beings. Fleetwood Mac saw the bigger picture. They had the intellectual fortitude to overcome human flaws and continue playing and creating music that defined a generation.
I have to say..that whenever Lindsey reminisces about doing the "two-part harmonies" with Stevie (as he does here at the 8:00 mark), I can't help but feel like it's their secret code for sex. Because, I just saw the set they did at one of his solo shows some years ago, when they sang "Say Goodbye", he talked about the same thing. And in each of these instances, he's got this..this knowing kind of smirk going on. A very flirtatious tone, his eyes locking with hers. And when he says the words here, yeah, the same look toward her, while she smiles in the same knowing way, eyes cast down, touching her hair. That sort of really gives it away to me, as a woman recalling an intimacy like that..she'll get all flushed and feminine that way. That's definitely body language. And it kind of floors me, as I always feel like they never cross that line. Seriously, from interviews and stuff, they always give the impression they haven't been intimate since their initial break-up. Or at least as far as I understand. I may be wrong, but it's seeming pretty obvious. And would just be the sweetest thing.. :)
15 years ago and I'm now just seeing what went on behind the scenes. Very entertaining and interesting. The band was feeling such trepidation - you can feel it during the interviews - but the end result was that magic day and the videos of The Dance.

Best one I’ve ever seen. The Mirage Tour 1982 in the LA Colosseum really shows Stevie and the rest at their best. One hell of a show. They were all doing their thing and having a great time doing it. The opening of The Chain, excellent, Sister of the Moon another excellent version that we will never see again. So happy I have it on. Might be 42 years ago but it’s always going to be so Valuable. It is interesting to watch Lindsey and Stevie without words. They have a body language and communication. I am a part-time astrologer and had done all their charts, and found Lindsey and Stevie have all this "third house of communication" stuff, their Suns and Mercury in it, that mean they can communicate without words, and their musical relationship would be kind of telepathic. At 11:39 when Stevie shrugs off the question of what they spoke about when asked to join FM, Lindsey leans in, and without a word they are together sharing private memories of that moment, and deciding together how much they will say, although only Stevie is talking.
@@fuzzydog1100 Sure. Clearly all of FM had magic together. But Stevie and Lindsay have a unique mind reading connection. It's not even conscious on their parts.

I saw them in Manchester during the Tango in the Night tour. It just wasn't the same without Lindsey. No disrespect to the others but Fleetwood Mac is Lindsey. I never have got to see them live since. Although Christine singing Songbird at the end was so beautiful, I will never forget that.
I agree! But you are too kind - that tour was awful. Rick Vito was a really good guitarist but even with Billy Burnett playing guitar as well, they couldn't fill Lindsey's shoes. It's like replacing John Lennon in the Beatles, it can't be done.
Seeing them without Christine was worse in 2003. They were still great but I really missed Christine. Billy Burnette and Rick Vito helped fill in the Lindsey gap in 1990.
@@jamesh8648 The Christians were really good. I remember my friend saying about Stevie Nicks “what’s she on about “ when she was speaking at the end. I said it was just Stevie being Stevie.
Christine, Songbird was the song that motivated me to take up playing the piano, so I could impress my soulmate, at the time! I pulled it off,.!! She knew the lyrics, started singing with me, so I backed off and let her sing it all, It was our bonding song!..I bought her a ring a month after ; ...We were in heaven⁶ a half months. Then, on the horri*(ble 18th day of September, after she said she had chest spasms, and said her ears were. Ringing. They took her to the Emergency room, "just to be safe"...I never saw her beautiful soul Again
I read on another video that "The Dance" wasn't just a band reunion. Stevie and Lindsey had a thing going (again) during this. It was completely finished when Stevie found out that Buckingham's then girlfriend (now wife) was pregnant with their first child. Watching the way Lindsey is behaving with her this would seem to probably not be far off the truth.
That pregnancy was mighty suspicious. Lindsey & Kristen were on the outs as soon as Stevie re-entered the picture, and Kristen had been dating a studio exec....UNTIL she realized she was going to lose Lindsey & she announced she was suddenly pregnant. When you look at Kristens’ & Lindsey’s kids...some dont look like either one of them. And it’s very odd how she always managed to get pregnant again at strategic points in Lindsey’s life....and Lindsey wasn’t in any hurry to marry her, even after 3 kids! In fact, she finally laid down the law and told him “it’s me & the kids or Stevie!” And you just KNOW she would have taken him to the cleaners with child support & alimony!
It is so apparent Lindsey loved Stevie. She must have been scared of being boxed in and couldn't commit. JMO It also seems that Christen had it bad for Lindsey and Mick had it bad for Stevie.
Please invite Lindsey back home. You are family. Family is flawed. Please rise above it (Stevie). You will die with these mortal wounds and seriously on your death bed.. looking back at it all.. you guys will say in the scheme of things how ridiculous it all was.
I always come back to the fact that Mick & John would never, ever have risen to stardom without Lindsey's contributions. He wrote songs and was more importantly the architect and work horse of the band. He put it all together in the studio, whereas Mick & John more or less just played an instrument while taking Lindsey's lead the whole way through. That's how I see it at least.
@@stitchgrimly6167 That's what a lot of people see past. John and Mick led by Peter Green and the other guys were too good and while they may not have had the commercial success that the latter members did, they still became world-famous and are known as one of the greatest blues lineups.
Hypnotized way before Lindsey Buckigham, Stevie Nicks. Bob Welch was a member of Fleetwood Mac Before Lindsey and Stevie Joined. I am soooo Glad Lindsey and Stevie were discovered by Fleetwood Mac, Soooo much Talent there.
@@Stevedrums741 Wrong, they never even sniffed the level of success they had with Lindsey & Stevie in the band. I know it, you know it, the whole world knows it. "You ought to learn your history."
@GraceMcVie Yeah specially Lindsey. It looks like he can't keep his eyes away from Stevie. Damn I wish I knew what they were thinking during this interview!
Actually, that "present wife" is something John requests of them. Apparently, he doesn't want fame to ruin his SECOND marriage, so he'd prefer not to have them (his wife and daughter) mentioned. In truth, from all accounts on both sides of the divorce, John and Chris get along quite well, and Chris was even there at John's wedding and for the birth of his daughter...at "his present wife's" request.
I knew Chris was at the birth but didn't know it was at the 'present wife's' request. That is very actually moving, speaks a lot to the kind of person she must be, and of her acceptance and understanding of the friendship and closeness between John and Chris. To allow all of them to share in that very personal moment together is beautiful. Fleetwood Mac is full of beautiful stories like this.
Christine kind of gives suppressed laughter at the mention of it, Bob Welch still being in the band when Mick Fleetwood first heard Buckingham/Nicks. Strange band.
"It was a little more than five percent Mick" Lol, she has a great sense of humor. I chuckled there too. She sings on Bob Welch's "Sentimental One", showing she understood him and for that reason, kept the musical connection.
How many times is Lindsey going to kiss Stevie in this interview? He's all over her. Not that I'm complaining; they're adorable. :) Where do you get this stuff?
Adrian Riley - Mick’s been secretly obsessed with her for years.. since their affair behind Lindsey’s back.. then Stevie breaks up with LB.. Ever since Peter Green founded FM.. Mick isn’t really a nice person!!
@@aliciacarrillo6246 - According to interview with Mick he talks of their affair, shows video of Stevie on his family vacation while married to Jenny. Films Stevie in pool with his wife & kids. Mr. Emerald The Green - Mick wanted Bob gone.. It was Peter Greens band.. I always thought it odd over his ‘sudden overtaking LSD’.. Bob gone & now Lindsey.. I think that’s why John stays quiet & in the back..
Funny when Christine says "even the old prez got up," and then she's like "I mean Mr. President got up." Maybe Lindsey keeps kissing Stevie because he knows she's kind of grumpy and stressed. He keeps fidgeting and moving his head about before he does it like ehh should I do it, I wanna do it!
at 12:54 or so, Stevie says "and girlfriends who would have been really happy if we could have gone on the steakhouse circuit". By any chance could she have been referencing an affair or something that Lindsey might have had during Buckingham-Nicks era?
She’s referring to herself there. (Actually thanks! I hadn’t caught that!) She, the girlfriend, was getting a bit upset that she seemed to be the only person in the relationship who cared about how broke they were, and she would have welcomed the steakhouse circuit so they could make some money. Lindsey famously said no to the idea because he’s only about the art, but they were starving and Stevie was sick of pulling the weight.
LOL he wasn't married to his wife when this interview was done. He didn't marry her until 2000. Not sure when he met his wife but this interview, according to the description, was done April 97 his son was born July 98. So it's all good probably. I think he was just enjoying working with her again. They seem to always play out the relationship and the break up on stage though, I'm sure his wife is used to it. I don't need them to get married..just to make music together again.
It must be hard to work with old lovers, when all their songs are about the group's individual breakups. Do you sing with feeling or hide your feelings and just go through the motions? The fans want the real deal, and they can feel the heat!
These 5 together were magic. This is probably the best interview I’ve heard with all 5 of them.

it was true love
@@joshualevinson9503 Maybe, but in their case, I think Love just ain't enough.
Yeah maybe I was being kind. It was pretty crap lol,
Seeing them without Christine was worse in 2003. They were still great but I really missed Christine.
Billy Burnette and Rick Vito helped fill in the Lindsey gap in 1990.
I was there too my friend from college. Not same without Lindsey but at least The Christians were a good supporting band before The Mac was back! haha
@@jamesh8648 The Christians were really good. I remember my friend saying about Stevie Nicks “what’s she on about “ when she was speaking at the end. I said it was just Stevie being Stevie.
These segments are so cool, thanks!
Mc vie is a natural comedian..she seems cool
I read on another video that "The Dance" wasn't just a band reunion. Stevie and Lindsey had a thing going (again) during this. It was completely finished when Stevie found out that Buckingham's then girlfriend (now wife) was pregnant with their first child.
Watching the way Lindsey is behaving with her this would seem to probably not be far off the truth.
asm1 gracias por la información :)
asm1 ya I heard that also
I wouldn't doubt it. He's never gotten over her
JFK movie
Stevie is a dream girl. Lindsey is hilarious.
Stevie is so humble.
THEIR THE BEST...PERIOD
It is so apparent Lindsey loved Stevie. She must have been scared of being boxed in and couldn't commit. JMO It also seems that Christen had it bad for Lindsey and Mick had it bad for Stevie.
Congratulations, Johnny.😆
RIP Christine McVie…….😢. Fleetwood Mac top 5 band of all time!
Please invite Lindsey back home. You are family. Family is flawed. Please rise above it (Stevie). You will die with these mortal wounds and seriously on your death bed.. looking back at it all.. you guys will say in the scheme of things how ridiculous it all was.
As self assured as Stevie says she is I just imagine (when not touring) her alone in a big house surrounded by beautiful things but extremely lonely.
The interviewer induces a therapy session.
But Mick & John were stars, right back to the late 60s when their debut album hit the top 10 and Albatross went no. 1.
They were stars long before they met either Stevie or Lindsey. You ought to read a book and learn your history.
Lyndsey seems so into her and she's so blaze.
They've always seemed to have gotten along.
A threesome?🤔🤔🤔🤔
I knew Chris was at the birth but didn't know it was at the 'present wife's' request. That is very actually moving, speaks a lot to the kind of person she must be, and of her acceptance and understanding of the friendship and closeness between John and Chris. To allow all of them to share in that very personal moment together is beautiful. Fleetwood Mac is full of beautiful stories like this.
Awesome interview thank you for sharing
Thanks for posting these. 👍
Christine kind of gives suppressed laughter at the mention of it, Bob Welch still being in the band when Mick Fleetwood first heard Buckingham/Nicks.
Strange band.
What if Bob Welch hadn't left the band when he did?
"It was a little more than five percent Mick" Lol, she has a great sense of humor. I chuckled there too. She sings on Bob Welch's "Sentimental One", showing she understood him and for that reason, kept the musical connection.
How many times is Lindsey going to kiss Stevie in this interview? He's all over her. Not that I'm complaining; they're adorable. :) Where do you get this stuff?
I didn't see him kiss her.
TheWhereyouare on the head he did
Just a nice among good friends. A friendly kiss can do no harm
I think he is still in love with her.
@@lynnmoore7029
and she is still is in love with him...Though she will never admit it..
What a brilliant fusion F M Had A massive influence on s, loads of bands probably one of the first fusion bands giving birth to the idea...
Lindsey still is in love with her.
I didn't notice it before, but there's def something there.
What a very cool rock band.
10-21 When Lindsey tells Stevie you have no idea 🥺
John and Christine are so cute too they are such dorks lol
i love their interaction. they actually had a great relationship and close friendship. not like those other 2...
look at mick eyes keeps watching lindseys hand on stevie
i love my level 42 est 1981 yeah I noticed too lol every time he would talk mick would be looking at her lo l
Adrian Riley - Mick’s been secretly obsessed with her for years.. since their affair behind Lindsey’s back.. then Stevie breaks up with LB.. Ever since Peter Green founded FM.. Mick isn’t really a nice person!!
@@jayannakelley9051 your order of events isn’t correct. First Stevie broke up with LB. Eventually had an affair with Mick.
@@aliciacarrillo6246 - According to interview with Mick he talks of their affair, shows video of Stevie on his family vacation while married to Jenny. Films Stevie in pool with his wife & kids.
I really don’t understand how Stevie (or any female for that matter) can chat & pretend to be friends with the wife of the husband you are screwing.
It’s been decades ago & honestly I’m bored of the whole FM drama crap.
Have a good wkend!
@@jayannakelley9051 what I said was that she didn’t have an affair with Mick when she was with Lindsey.
First there was Fleetwood Mac without Lindsey and Stevie. Then there was FM with them. There there was no FM without Lindsey.
Stevie and lindsay had a love hate relationship but still love each other, that is obvious
11:37 looks like Mic's pulling the water from Christines behind.. Fleetwood Mac Forever!
RIP Bob Welch. Love BuckinghamNicks album.
This is from 1997 on the Dance tour
My god the 4:17 kiss❤️
What about the kiss? It seems so one way. She said she'll never be friends with Lindsey
@@NAGIUXS Well, they most certainly won’t be friends but it is just nice to see them kind of gwt along in this interview. Even if it was done only for the public. I mean-We can at least imagine
Love me some Lindsey💞 Linds you can work on my tracks 😘
HE PULLED AWAY PROFFESIONALLY AND PERSONALLY ,i thin it more stevie trying to keep that going you know women love having more then one man making them feel good just as men do sometimes, its just another form of power ,even thi its too hard on the heart to play people like that ,best not too!,Lindsey has a beautiful wife and kids ,i thin hes been rewarded just fine for leaving fleetwood mac at that time ,but hopefully they will inthe future get past the power struggle and get on with rock and roll, come on Lindsey!stevie!
*bows graciously* Why thank you, my dear!
Wow,, if you watch closely the minute Mick mentions Bob Welch, John and Christine give each other a "look"
Which confirms Bob's words that they had a big role in his departure. Not very flattering.
Bob Welch's songs were great! It would've been great with him AND Lindsey and Stevie.
Mr. Emerald The Green - Mick wanted Bob gone.. It was Peter Greens band.. I always thought it odd over his ‘sudden overtaking LSD’.. Bob gone & now Lindsey.. I think that’s why John stays quiet & in the back..
Well I say that because at the time of this or just prior, Bob Welch was suing Mick John and Christine over royalties, thus, the look Christine gave
I think there was some jealousy towards the relationship between Stevie and Lindsey
Meeting of so many different souls .
Proof it works
Watch at 3:06 she has a spell on Lindsey
Funny when Christine says "even the old prez got up," and then she's like "I mean Mr. President got up." Maybe Lindsey keeps kissing Stevie because he knows she's kind of grumpy and stressed. He keeps fidgeting and moving his head about before he does it like ehh should I do it, I wanna do it!
Does anybody have the full concert if so can you put it up all at once and not in parts?!?! I see parts of it but not the full thing.
You might like the demo of " I dont want to know" to see it just type in the search bar above.....'Fleetwood Mac rough and basic demo'
at 12:54 or so, Stevie says "and girlfriends who would have been really happy if we could have gone on the steakhouse circuit".
Heck a lot people think stevie and lindsey just dated but they lived together for almost 6yrs
AWESOME!! (:
Lindsay was like Paul Mc cartney in the Fleetwood Mac band
