They really don't Lukas enough credit for how well he plays. They say lsv makes bant company so easy to play, which I agree he does, but Lukas just reminds of Shota Yasooka with this deck. He plays it quick and constant and seemingly flawless.
They keep saying that the emrakul decks beat the BW decks more often than not but Lukas just keeps destroying with this deck. He makes it look so easy, it's so awesome to watch.
@@carlosspencer5369 BW had a great matchup vs Delirium. All the spot removal is live and the G/B deck had trouble dealing with so many planeswalkers (ult. Liliana was a regular thing).
12:22 there is a line that forestalls death: suicide linvala, activate the vent, languish zombies and vent, then let the emblem trigger and then kill a zombie with grasp before passing.
(in game 1) Couldn't Sam use Lukas' own grasp of darkness to kill one of the two zombies after the emblem made them, (after killing the Linvala and the zombies with emrakul block plus languish). That would mean Sam wouldn't be facing lethal the next turn.
He was dead because on the turn he had control of, Lukas gets 2 zombies at end of turn. Then he gets a turn, and attacks with both zombies and Sam only has one blocker ( Emrakul )
+iThrone1 Sam can still make Lukas use his Grasp on one of his own zombies after the emblem trigger resolves, but before the turn ends, which is what Connor is talking about. The reason that line wouldn't work is that Lukas still had multiple shambling vents and a blighted fen to get an attacker through.
man, LSV is a class act. loses in the semis, goes and puts on a suit and does commentary :)

what a conundrum...I want LSV to play until the final and also do commentary...can we get that somehow?
Time travel?
Cloning?
At one point Lucas had 3 planeswalkers at 6 loyalty, hail.

Doesn't work. You leave Blohon with a Zombie token and the second Shambling Vents, then he takes his extra turn and attacks with both.
28:47 The judge has some slick moves...
In the first game, couldnt he have waited for the zombie triggers to resolve and kill 1 with the grasp?
Yes. He misplayed bigtime.
What a blowout game 2 was. 3 walkers and a flipped avacyn

with two steam vents on the board, sam needed to find a way to activate both of those, languish and grasp a zombie on end step.
During the first game why didn't he during the end of the endstep to grasp one of the zombies. He wouldve had a turn to live
Shambling vent would have killed him with the other zombie
can get every video from the pro tour to loa,d except this one. Must be
Still waiting for the commentators to talk about the game in progress....
Don't think Sam was dead game 1. He could have grasped one of the zombies with Lukas's grasp, drawn a Languish, and attacked twice
I think lukas had two shambling vents, only one of which he has the mana to animate before he is made to languish. So that line doesn't work.
He was dead because on the turn he had control of, Lukas gets 2 zombies at end of turn. Then he gets a turn, and attacks with both zombies and Sam only has one blocker ( Emrakul )
Lukas also had a Blighted Fen to get rid of the Emrakul. It was going to take some divine intervention for Sam to win that game.

Why is Sam's graveyard so messy!!!
11:09 Ah yes, LSV playing against emrakul 6 times in draft.
No bant! :D
Best comment
oh yeah
At 24:48, its like he really had no strategy on what to do.
that was a massacre...
woohoo
