There is a knot used (esp) in the UK called the knotless knot. Which is the same as this right up to the final wraps you put in to secure the knot. This knot is such an improvement imo.
I’ve used the knotless knot before when I was trying pva bait bags for carp fishing, haven’t really used it since. What I like about the egg loop knot is that it has the ability to open up and receive soft baits and hold them firmly. Where legal, we will find and shuck large freshwater mussels and put the meat through the loop of the knot. Thanks for the comment!
Hey great question, we’ve ran both black and the white with green/black spot side by side and haven’t noticed any preference by the sturgeon. In my head though I would like to think black would be more stealthy and be less noticed by the fish.
Best demo for this knot, hands down! Thank you!
Thank you! I appreciate the feedback. Tight lines!

great video! Is there a reason you use white line instead of black?

@@FishQuest okay thanks! Also I was thinking of using 80 pound mono for my lead line do you think that would work?
@@bradparis5807 I think you’d be just fine. Mono honestly is better for the fish anyways. It’s not nearly abrasive
Very good
@@PaddleNorthAngler thank you!
So the egg drop loop would be good for shrimp?
yes sir, w have used for shrimp in the past, especially if the shrimp isn't the freshest. The loop really helps hold the bait on.
@@FishQuest Thank you ‼️ 😎
So the line I use to tie the egg knot is separate from the line on the pole ??
@@ThomasWilson-m7v yes, if you go watch my other video on “how to rig for sturgeon” you will see how this all ties together. Thanks for the comment!
👍👍👍👍❤ traduction en français please, MERCI BEAUCOUP.
J'ai toujours voulu apprendre le français, peut-être qu'un jour je pourrai parler couramment le français. Merci pour le commentaire!
