- We are installing cornices in the new kitchen!
Come and see how we cut the Polystyrene cornice to size to get a neat 45 degree angle!
We've opted for the Polystyrene cornices that you can cut with a pair of box cutters, handsaw or even a bread knife!
Use a Polystyrene adhesive and filler to glue the cornices to the required surface
and then fill any remaining gaps.
Remember to cover with a layer or two of paint once the glue has dried.

I'm surprised you have any fingers left.
Good video, but please note that this is polystyrene cornice, not PVC.
Baie dankie. Ekt myself confuse met watter kant moet “retract” en watter een moet “protrude”, so my hoeke was altyd verkeerde kant om 🤦🏽♂️😓😅
Bly ons kon help! 😀
Great video. Thank you. I believe you can't paint these with Solvent based primer. Do I just paint without priming? Thank again
Thank you for your comment! Yes, you can just paint these without priming - use an acrylic water based paint. If you want to use a solvent based paint, cover first with a PVA paint.
@@diymaker7819 thank you so much
The existing cut ( first in the video ) do you follow the same process for a detailed coving?
Yes, the same process. However, make sure that the detail on your coving lines up on your joints.
@DIY Maker thanks for the reply. Although I completed the job before your reply. What I done was cut a small section of the detailed coving and held it level on the return and scribed it. Worked a treat
After a year. Can you please share if it's staying atrong❤
All sitting strong, no issues!
Hou duimvas...
