    Hmmm! Quiet things down?? If I'm going to put something like this together I'm going to make it louder. I had an HO gauge track like this when I was a kid and man was it fun when you used different cars with different mods. Really sweet setup. Thanks for sharing this.

    Thanks for getting that video out. I know you're probably very busy. It sounds like you are right that doesn't make that much of a difference filling the holes with spray foam. Cheers!

    When I built my table last year (4x8 1/2 ply with 1x4 frame) I added a sheet of 1" blue foam to deaden some of the noise, it worked well, and with a little paint it is a good base for my scenery :)

    Just watched this back to back with the “testing with Tyco 440x2 Lambo “ video. FWIW, the new setup is noticeably quieter through my TV. Thanks for sharing.

      Thank you so much for the feedback, I didn't even think to compare the two back to back. 👍🏻🏁

    I used car sound deadening mat. Made a nice difference in keeping the track quieter. Put it down then mounted the track down to it. Check out my track construction video. Thank you for the video showing the results! 😁👍🏁

    I recognize this layout. It's the Oak Creek 36. I run the same layout! You can build the whole thing with the Tommy AFX Super International Raceway plus one 15-in straight track. It is based on the Tuckaway 25, designed to fit on a 36x 80-in door and slide under a couch or bed when not in use.

    How can I get the track pattern with pieces of track labeled to build track layout. Beautiful layout.

    Very nice layout. You get a lot of track in a small area.

    cool track, i would raise the whole back straight , x2 rules you got good grip too.
    for the clicking, check the joints smooth out the slots with a file.
    also the angle of the guideshoes can make them less noisy, stock they have a kinda chissel shape.
    a got a tip to bend them more like a sledge shape.
    slotcar hobby i am with ya.

    Love the layout. Could you please give me a count on the number of pieces of track straights, curves and their respective dimensions? I would love to Duplicate as I have limited space at home. Thank you!

    Great video, i can prolly put a racing car set on my pool table which measures 36x72 from rail to rail. I would have it loose so I can easily take it down to play pool.

    What if you could lay the track directly on a layer of Hushmat? Walmart sometimes has it. You'd have to trim and fit the mat, like RR guys do with cork roadbed. Or just apply the mat to underneath of the track.

    Have you ever tried sounding material like dynamat? I used to be a car audio installer and it works fantastic for keeping those panels quiet. I just thought it could be an option to look into later on down the road

    Hi there... I would like to know how you wired everything up.
    I know nothing about electronics, but follow directions very well.
    if you have a video, or can direct me to one, on how to wire up a 4 lane
    track, I'd be most grateful.

    Maybe I missed it but what was the reason for not just buying a sold core door? Price or availability?

    • @slotslidershoslotcars
      @slotslidershoslotcars  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Light weight & price. I had the 12' layout in mind and wanted to keep the 36"x 80" as inexpensive as possible.🏁

      @@slotslidershoslotcars Makes sense. I have 2 two 6 foot folding tables and a 5 foot desk in my garage for a 17 foot by 30 inch track. Was thinking of something smaller inside the house and am considering a 3 x 8 door with banquet legs attached. Just not sure if the solid core door is too heavy.

    • @slotslidershoslotcars
      @slotslidershoslotcars  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@davesworld6206 If you don't plan on moving the layout after it's completed, the solid wood door is a nice choice. Hollow with outdoor carpeting would be quiet and A LOT easier to handle if you wanted to move it.

    Its the track. Not the surface...clicking is part of slots unless you have a pro custom track

    Sound is bouncing off the inside walls of the table. You basically have a guitar with the face off... try putting soundproofing on the inside walls.

    120 ohm? 440x2s need a 45ohm and if they are built a 35ohm. Nice track...

    Foam does not really quiet things down plywood's quieter and if you really want to quiet things down use homesite board
