I’m a big fan of the pearlescent paints , as a matter of fact, I’m painting my Tamiya Audi V8 in pearlescent white instead of the straight white. Just wait for the sun ☀️ to hit that pearlescent paint and watch it pop, then you’ll know you made the right choice. It looks freaking fantastic in pearlescent. Mount the shell with magnets on top of the body posts. No ugly holes 🕳. Nice one man. 😎👍👍👍🇬🇧🎄
Beautiful car that Glenn! mate, i would strongly suggest you don't risk that beautiful car with that slightly bloated saddle lipo! If it goes on fire inside car, it'll ruin it!? I know it's a pain because lipo's aren't cheap!? But better to be safe than sorry my friend!? Amazing project Glenn! You done that car justice! Beautiful! Thanks mate! Wes, Liverpool, UK.
Love this thing Glenn, what an absolute gem. Being the last in the line so to speak, I think it deserves the best shell possible. The finish on that is WAY above what most could achieve and a true testament to Craig's work! It would be great to get a tutorial from Craig on the channel if possible?
Very nice TRF503 buggy, needless to say what a fantastic paint job & you have two😍🍻 I’m now a happy owner, of a TRF511 buggy to complement my TRF418 road car. A must for any Tamiya collection IMO.
You should have the guy that paints the shells video himself painting it and play it on the channel. Maybe post a link so people can contact him . That would be pretty cool.
@@davexmonikerx4758 oh man, not build it yet....my favorite part. I duno why i even seel it...oh yes, "someone" not gona name it, say, dont you have too much rc's. I wish i didnt, now you cant find enywhere even a used one 😔
That buggy is amazing Glenn , it’s hard to see the difference between the shells on camera for me . But both look good . I can only imagine how good they look in person . You keep showing me these TRF buggies I’m going to have to break down and find one .
Really nice Glen!!!. I’m starting to like this modern kit. I would never have a clue where to start myself😂😂. But never mind it’s just great to see you bringing em to life👍👍👍
Looks awesome Glenn, I wonder if there are any artists out there who could do you a box art of this actual buggy but in the vintage old skool style like the Thunder shot years 1980's
could this keep up with the Xray's and Yokomo's in the worlds? I know you're not a racer, it would be nice to know if Tamiya intended this for racing at top level.
Great question and unfortunately I honestly don’t know 🤷🏼♂️. The 501 and 511 did really well and won some big events. My personal opinion on the 503 is, I don’t think Tamiya were investing in the top drivers in 2014 🤷🏼♂️. That’s how it seems to me 🧐
love it Glenn, I think you went with the right shell. The white decals against the pearl might look odd. Then again the Pearl might look epic with the silver decals. I run my 511 with no body posts and the shell is cut just where yours is. Don't trim the bottom until you get the electrics in, there isn't that much room for the motor wires (4 on brushless). Mine run very close to the belt. I have been looking for a reasonable saddle pack for a while, I didn't want to spend big bucks as I'm only occasionally running it for fun. I found this the other day and in the little run I've had it seems good. hobbyking.com/en_us/turnigy-nano-tech-5100mah-2s3p-65-135c-hardcase-saddle-pack.html?queryID=12102dd207cf5d4d7c49bde6df85d9f8&objectID=30794&indexName=hbk_live_magento_en_us_products
the paint looks great but put work in..ur not an amazing painter but its more fun to watch ppl learn.. get better by trying...nobody is watching you for amazing skills or perfect boxart ..bet most ppl watch bcs you are an oldschool rc fan with fat fingers like we have...builds dont have to be perfect just put work in
Hmmm do you not think I’ve put all that work in already on the channel 🤣🤣🤣. I must of painted well over a hundred shells on this channel 😂 I understand you don’t like me sending shells off to be painted, but there’s a bigger picture here my friend, and that is I’m trying to help Craig create a living from painting shells 🤷🏼♂️. Unlike most of the other Tamiya TH-cam channels I’m not in this for myself! I’ll do whatever I can to help and also promote this great hobby 🤷🏼♂️
No brainer, pearlescent everytime! (No stickers, that paint job is too good to hide). Superb looking!
Thanks for watching and the feedback my friend 😎👊🏻
Glenn, we have the same taste. You´ve REALLY NAILED it with this 503 !!! Perfect Shelf Queen. Another addition to the Tamiya Royalty Realm 👑

Excellent glad you liked it my friend 😊😊😊
That’s so gorgeous. I love how Craig does the black shadowing around the edges of the wing side panels. 😍
Thanks buddy yeah it’s those little details 🤩🤩🤩
Absolutely Fizzin looking Glenn. Really chuffed for you. Fab film once again. ❤️👍🏻
Thanks Dave 🤩

Yeah I think you’re absolutely spot on Wes, it’s really not worth the risk my friend 👊🏻

Yeah I’ve asked him for this already, hopefully I’ll get something off him in the future 😊🤞🏻🤞🏻
Everything about that car is gorgeous 😍👏👏👏 You're definitely going to need a larger nightstand
Lol 😂 we are going to need a bigger boat 🤣👊🏻

Haha excellent I’m doing the same thing, I’ve got a TRF415MSXX on it’s way to me to finish my little TRF collection off 😊😊😊
Tamiya design such great 1/10 buggy chassis. Beautiful buggy.❤

His contact information is in the description my friend 😊
That looks amazing.
Well worth the effort you've put in!
Looks amazing Glenn. Great video
Cheers Lee 😊
Stunning Glenn, it looks awesome.

What a stunning buggy Glenn, and what a problem to have, this awesome shell or that awesome shell, keep 'em coming.
Haha yes definitely 1st world problems Gary 🤩👊🏻
#2! I like the 2nd option myself. Finished it looks great! well done mate!
what a beauty, i miss my 502x :(
502 🤩🤩🤩
I’ve had a 502x sitting here for a few years. I just haven’t gotten around to building it yet.

Every Tamiya fan should have one TRF in the collection 😍
It looks great, im not sure how the silver decals would have looked, you have got a great looking chassic & 2 bodies yes keep them for the summer,😀😀😀😀
Thanks for watching my friend 🤩👊🏻
Really nice Glen!!!. I’m starting to like this modern kit. I would never have a clue where to start myself😂😂. But never mind it’s just great to see you bringing em to life👍👍👍
Thanks Darren 🤩👊🏻
love it!
Thanks Craig 🤩
Fantastic...
Thanks buddy 😎👊🏻
VERY NICE!
Thanks buddy 😀
What you can do is nip the body posts off leaving the pads to mount the body hight
Excellent idea 😊😊😊
Beautiful car man :-) Gauranga.
Thanks Matt 😊

Yeah that could be kinda cool Paul 🤩👊🏻
You should try a modern racing buggy sometime, Associated, Losi, or X-ray. There’s a whole other world out there 👍
Yeah unfortunately the different audiences don’t mix on here 😤
@@TAMIYALegends I really enjoy seeing all the Tamiya stuff, but I have two Associated buggies that I race. 👍
A new built TRF 503 recently sold in Australia, on Ebay for, wait for it, $1900 AUD, or 1100 quid
Yeah absolutely ridiculous 😤
Well I guess I’m richer than I thought my friend 🤣👊🏻
Hobby wing make some good brushless setups for sensible money I think my brushless set up for my Emaxx was about £150.00
Yeah I ran my last 503 on the Hobbywing 6.5 set up, it was ballistic 🤣🚗💨💨💨
Stunning looking car Glenn, have you thought about blacking the tamiya logo on the rims could look good?🤔
Oh no I hadn’t 🤔. That might look pretty cool Chris 🤩
Might be a bit of a mission but I think it could look cool 😁
Beautiful!!! Do you think there will be little pebbles getting stuck in the belt?
I’ve actually got some diff covers coming for it soon 😊👊🏻
Love it
Thanks Steve 😊👊🏻
Could you use magnetic mounts to avoid cutting holes in it
Not looked but that could be the solution 😊😊😊
Need another Chassis for the other body.

Pmsl 😂 😂😂
Like that
FIRST TO COMMENT!
what did I win?
😂
You win my appreciation 😊😊😊
They have a new drag motor that's a one and a half turn brushless.
I thought you were getting a trf415.
