  • Seniors are at a high risk of falling from problems with depth perception and how their eyes work together. The same issues can also impact reaction times when driving and the ability to drive in low light conditions/rain, which impacts independence.
This workshop covers everything you need to know and what you can do about it!

*I wish that you could do a video on pin hole vision/severe astigmatism.*

Is there a NYC ophthalmologist/optometrist with this specialty?

Dept of Motor Vehicles should run tests for potential drivers.

Depth perception and double vision are not checked routinely by optometrist, let alone DMV. I spent years in eye doctors offices trying to figure out why I could not see as well as other people. The doctors did not understand what I was asking. In the end, I ended up with a visual disability. If I had not fought so hard to find out why, I would still not know today.

My mother has been dizzy for over 30 years, unless she’s lying down. Have you heard of this particular issue being resolved by your work?

Yes. That’s actually very frequent and we almost always are able to make improvements. I’m sorry she’s been suffering for so long.

@@opto-mization Thanks so much for your reply. I really appreciate it. My mom is in Austin and at 88, being dizzy, flying is challenging. You sound very knowledgable. Would you happen to have a suggestion on a type of practitioner that we could look for locally? Over the years, she has been to so many doctors, as well as other practitioners (chiropractor, cranial sacral, Atlas, dizzy / balance clinic, egoscue, etc. ) It would be a miracle if at this stage in her life we could help this situation.
