Bread had no place being on that plate! Tbh, in my opinion, it wasn't really a roast, it was a mixed grill with some roasted veg/gravy on the side... Anyway, smashed it as always! Nice one!
@@bcayeBecause a roast dinner doesn’t have steaks of meat. It’s normally a sliced meat from a larger joint. A sliced baguette is neither part of a roast dinner. Now, repeat it back to me so I know you understand 😁
@@matty99, don't talk to me as though I'm stupid. Asking a question is never stupid. Where I live, anything you want could be in a roast dinner. Yes, if you called it that, there would normally be a large cut of meat or a whole bird. For a restaurant I would assume these meats were chosen for speed of cooking. It was more a question about the bread. In the US, especially the Southeast and Midwest, bread is a common accompaniment to any meal, even if the meal already has bread (yes, I know what Yorkshire puddings are, I even make them). That's not a custom I adhere to, but I think strict rules about what and how one eats are for losers. Whose ass is out now?
Absolutely NO baguette 🥖 on a Sunday roast! If Gary really wanted you to do this one, he should never have put bread on it!!! Fantastic job though 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🎉
That challenge was massive already, but baguette and the whole pan of gravy made it absolutely insane! If doing this so soon after the steak challenge doesn’t cement your reputation as one of the best eaters out there I don’t know what would!! Hungrily Dominate Humbly 😁
Love Sunday Roasts but never have I ever had one with steak, Gammon steaks or bread. Usually sliced roast beef, chicken, turkey or pork. Looked delicious and I understand the paper calling it a mixed grill. Well done max 👍
I'd like to thank Gary for letting him do these challenges the food looks amazing and I think after these videos he will definitely be getting alot of new customers
Great challenge(s) Gary & Cattleman’s Krew! That food looked very delicious! The diversity of food was vast. I was a bit confused about baguettes and pudding? But no matter, a challenge is a challenge! Well done Max! If they prepare a team challenge, epic! Max, Beard, Josh & Leah. Live’s are good for those near your tome zone! I’d watch after from the States.
Great video. Fantastic editing and vouce overs as always. Excellent challenge! Your videos are always very entertaining and fun to watch I like watching very much thanks for sharing keep it up!
The roast looked amazing; well presented and nicely cooked. I've never had a roast with baguettes though. I would love to try this one day but will need more than 1 hour easily. Great challenge. Well done MvF.
Thanks Machman! It honestly was such a good challenge, every item was delicious. You could always come and take your time with it! Thanks for watching!
Wow this is huge! I think you’ll smash this in around 34 mins and 30 seconds! I’m probably no where near the time but it’s fun to guess. Love all your videos Max 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 xxx
Thanks mate! Yea it wasn't my smartest idea but I really wanted to do as many as I could! This last one was definitely the hardest but I was so happy to do it!
NO WAY how the hell have you managed to eat it this quick after yesterdays challenge, your stomach must still be stretched. But really Max well done again that was awesome, no bread rolls defo shouldn't have been on a sunday roast
Nice job Max! That was huge! My guess was 50 minutes. I should have more faith! If you make bloopers near the end do you have to start the challenge again?
American here - I LOVE cauliflower and rutabaga (swedes). Both are underrated here in the states, I feel like. Most people like broccoli (blech); and I've only met elderly people who have any idea what rutabaga are. When I think of a roast dinner, I generally think of potatoes, carrots, a roasted beef and some type of dinner roll all served with a gravy. The baguette isn't too far off from a dinner roll but those seem quite dense.
First impressions and I’ll leave this here whether right or wrong; Baguettes? Why? I don’t think this one will be done. Those parsnips. Try cooking them! Cauli cheese looks lush. Good luck Miracle Max!
Same here!! When it came out I really wasn't sure I'd be able to do it, but I just tried my best! I did have to lay down for quite a long time after tho 😂
Bread is good with a basic Sunday roast, your one didn't need it though. I'd make chicken, stuffing and gravy sandwiches, or a cauli cheese one. I love roasted vegetables and there was a great variety on that one. Cheers Gary for being a great host. Well done Max, I doubt your stomach was empty from the night before so that would have made it even harder.
Yea I should have made sandwiches that's a great shout! Thanks for thanking Gary too! Really appreciate that! Yea I really should have had more time but I so wanted to take this one on before I left. Thanks for watching!
Those yorkshire puddings looked almost too perfect... used to them looking a little rustic.... Oh well, nice win again man!!!!! your training is paying off
Thank you!! Yea with this one Im not even sure how I did it 🤣 I thought the cranberry sauce would work well with the last bit of bread as something sweet to mix up the flavour but I still had so much gravy I didn't need it in the end!
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed the video! It's all about calories in and calories out so I am very active and eat very little in the run up to these challenges
You beat my prediction because that platter is HUGE! Amazing job Max!! I've only had Yorkshire pudding a couple times, but I love it. The carrots and parsnips looked so yummy. When I lived with my parents my mom made a roast beef almost every Sunday and she would do carrots, potatoes, and broccoli and cheese, or peas and carrots with cheese sauce and of course gravy and we'd just use regular bagged bread. So I guess my mom kind of made an English Sunday roast :P The food on this challenge looked amazing.
If it was me I'd of stuck veg and potatoes in the gravy and ate it like a stew. mop the rest with the baguette. Keeping things warmer too while eating the rest . Good luck can't wait to see.
Good job! It looked delicious. Were there parsnips? I love those. I do like yorkshire puddings but I've only had them twice in my life. I predicted a half an hour and you were pretty close. Here, in the USA, we don't really have roast dinners like that but we do have pot roast. I don't like pot roast meat so I usually just let everyone else have the meat and I eat vegetables and bread. Whatever. It's all good.
Thanks Jae!! Yea there were roasted parsnips and they were so so good! Yorkshire puddings are so good! And pretty easy to make too. great guess too! I slowed down at the end but it was all so so good!!
Thanks Steve! And really appreciate you subscribing too! Yea that would have been really good, I do love carrot and swede mash! Hope you enjoy my other videos too!
Deffo 200lb steak challenge. You should team up with either Beard and Leah or Beard and Kyle. Would be a great colab. I Love a Sunday roast, any day of the week lol. Wow, very well done. I said an hour, you smashed it Max xx amazing!!
57:31 no bread love everything except the stuffing. I can not stand to eat stuffing. I absolutely love cauliflower and cheese. Awesome job Max. I knew you could do it. I think Leah Shutkever, Beard Meets Food, Joel Hansen Dan Kennedy and Molly Schuyler.
So I guess the cranberry sauce got tossed🤷🏻♀️-I agree with you on the “cheesy cauliflower “. Cauliflower cheese reads to me that the cheese is made out of cauliflower-hmmm
