I’ve lived in Glasgow for 15 years. Successive curators of the Gallery of Modern Art behind the statue have had varying opinions on the cone. Personally, I think a traditional equestrian statue with a traffic cone on its head is exactly what you want outside your modern art gallery.

I could listen to Glaswegians talk about anything really.

That's hilarious, and I appreciate the insight from the locals and visitors.

    That is so cool.
I was puzzled when you said the council tried to hire that statue. Worked out that you said higher the statue and that you meant raise.
    Love seeing videos like this.

To me the best part is that it's in front of the Gallery of Modern Art.

There’s a statue in Exeter that suffered a similar fate ( there was always one on it!) in Kingston, there’s even a statue that’s of a sheep that actually has a bronze traffic cone on its head as part of the statue 😆

The cone has been put up there for so long now, the statue looks odd if the cone is ever missing.

I’ve also seen a cone on a statues head in Edinburgh. (The one in a sort of gazebo next to the train station)
Is it a Scottish tradition now?

There have been cones on other heads around Scotland. But come on, you councils, it's nothing like what the pigeons do to these gents.
