Thanks for this video. I needed to replace the piece with the hole in it that fits into the headlining (it was broken and kept falling down). Your video was exactly what I needed. Thanks. I still managed to cut my hands while doing this. My advice: wear gloves
@@idoyaes Although I find it hard to believe the glass installer said it's a 1 shot deal. They just removed the perfectly fine windshield and installed another new one and this time they installed the mirror correctly with whatever glue they used. No charge warranty.
I have a 2012 VW Passat se. And trying to remove the rearview mirror is very difficult! My mirror doesn't move at all. It doesnt slide down like in your video. Any advice on how to remove a stiff rearview mirror?
I have a question about bonding this sensor. Mechanics has replaced the windscreen on my Vw golf and now I see from outside "air bubble" between the glass and the sensor. They said me that it is gel and it will be fixed it by itself after some days on the sun. Are they right ? I am not so sure ... :-/
No, that’s not normal. That will affect the infra ray sensor from detecting true detection of rain. They did a shocking job of applying the gel pad properly. Get it fixed.
@@chinlongcham1017 After you remove the plastic cover, there is a metal spring clip on either side, put a pick tool or slim flat tip screwdriver in there to help loosen it then wiggle the mirror side to side and down. Hope that helps.

Aman A Mine was broken as well. What is the part number for the piece you replaced? Thank you
Great help, here, thanks. Catchy music.
@@bruhnvh thank you for the feedback!
Straight to the point. Mersi
Any videos of re-attaching the rain sensor after a windshield replacement? Of the product used to adhere the rain sensor?
Also, hear for that. My installer didn't put it back up correctly
Did you find how to do it?

Hi,
Do you know where can I find the plastic peaces that you removed in the step 1 ?
it's for VW golf 5
Thanks
Taking it off isn't the problem. It'll fall off eventually. It's reattaching it that is the issue.
Yeah my missus removed ours in one step with her head
Any suggestions to reinstall?
Anyone round how to re instal the pad sensor? And mirror to it?
Thanks for the vid it helped me out as well
Thank you very much
Thank you too for watching!

Sliding the mirror down is like so impossible
