I think Homer suit well as Wario because he definately match his personality as a reckless driver which is exactly the problem with Homer that he won't listen to people's reasoning or admit that he's wrong/fault especially which involved Lisa's anxiety of his reckless driving as shown at the start of the episode because he's an idiot but that's the whole point as this is a popular cartoon and comedy show of all time.
I actually want to give credit to Dan Castellaneta for his portrayal of Homer/Wario in this scene. He has to do a Homer voice that's also doing an impression of Wario. Converging voices like that is very difficult to do, even for some of the most talented voice actors. In fact, Hank Azaria mentioned that the only voice actor he knew of that had that skill was Mel Blanc, who was one of the greatest to ever do it in voice acting. Well done, Dan.

this episode was quite interesting, the final scene was similar to the ending scene of Days of Thunder....which only matters because an hour or so earlier Daniel Suarez won the Atlanta race and his car owner became a fan of the sport due to Days of Thunder
