What a beautiful shot of the scenery of Dryburgh Abbey on the banks of the River Tweed in the Scottish Borders! It was an opportunity to think about the 12th century with a wonderful garden! I think this monument should be preserved forever for our descendants! I was also able to see the interior scenery in a meaningful way, and I was able to learn a lot from your detailed explanation!

Another beautiful but sad history of another sacked ruin. It is such a shame that these places were not left alone but instead plundered. They certainly had some harsh punishment for any transgression of the rules way back when. And yet again, you have had me on a Google tangent. I've never heard of Nine Men's Morris before. It is a very interesting read and a great game of strategy. Thank you as always for the drone footage, the cinematography, and the narration. Another great vlog. Thanks for sharing.

Ahh thank you so much Chris, so glad you enjoyed it. The abbeys order was very strict, it's very odd to hear such austere treatment that they went through, but it's incredible what they did for their beliefs! Not for me though...hehe. Thank you so much for commenting and watching, i appreciate you!

Although it is an interesting place, it is much more so with the vivid picture you paint with you eloquent narrative Alessa. I don't believe I've ever visited such a historical place and walked away with such a complete picture of the life of the ruin/structure. You really should be working for the historical trust that oversees these places. Thanks for sharing another wonderful visit back in time.

    Hi Alessa
Dryburgh Abbey, such beautiful appearance gave us awe-moments and at the same time learn it carries dark side of history smeared the reputation of the great church 3:37 3:59 I am certain I am not the only one who felt this feeling for harsh punishment for two lovers. God could not forgive them....or I just not a religious person? Wowowow I definitely believe in a gray lady!
Stone structure always astonishes me10:54 11:12 1:46 and so on
Great selection of music. As always the laborious editing and time consuming research are appreciated. Of course, masterpiece of drone flight flaters my eyes.
I thank you and Bret very much for the value of your films. See you next one.

Wonderful tour and history of this Abbey. I wouldn’t have liked being a monk here as their day to day existence was very harsh and austere. There’s still enough left to somewhat appreciate how lovely the Abbey once was. So sad that so many of these beautiful places were raided and burned ,sacked.😢 How horrible that the monk and his love were so harshly judged for simply falling in love. But murdering them was a lesser and perfectly justified sin. Makes no sense to me 🤷🏻‍♂️🤦🏼‍♂️ Anyway thanks Alessa and Brett for the wonderful look around and history of this place. Great drone shots as always😃👍🤩
