Woo-hoo! ❤ Rick and Anna are great recovery role models, so glad Rick is running again, though he never really left the channel (which speaks volumes about ths channel, the grind of injury and recovery are often part of being a runner) 🏃♀️ 👍🏾 Also great to see younger runners like Sarah And Mo grow and progress....
Can I just say how much I love that Rick is back to running in challenge videos? It’s been encouraging to see someone come back a stronger runner from injury!
Yeah! Anna is back! It's been a while since we saw her! And how awesome is it to see Rick running again? You all did a good job, no matter the results. Every run matters and you all did fantastic efforts.
Yay the old team are back together!! Well done Anna, smashed it! Sarah, I think you can take that as a win too! Rick - 4:40!! You’re well and truly back 🎉🎉 Well done all 🎉
I set my garmin today to do negative splits at Parkrun. I used 24 mins as my time to aim for. I was successful in achieving negative splits and got a time of 23:49. Loved aiming for different times each km.
Love this! I guessed right of who is the winner! So good to see Rick still running in the field when he cheated his fastest 5K (but the slowest elapsed 5K because of several cup of teas) - if you know, you know! Anna should go on the podcast as guest talking all things ultra running!
My last half marathon (1:22:01), I went through the first half around 42:30, but the second half was around 39:31. Bit extreme but better than the alternative.
Go Anna. I am always rooting for you! Sarah, your result was also valid. Faster is faster, even just by a few milliseconds. Rick and Moh, must try harder 😂 Seriously great to see you running again Rick. And Moh still has the halo for the sub 3 marathon. Everyone's a winner!
Love the concept! Would love to see one where you keep going until you run a km that's slower than the preceding one, trying to get as many negative split kms in!
So happy to see you running again Rick. I went through a similar injury and was unable yo run for 2 years. Please take it easy and no ultra or triathlons this year....or the next!
4 of my favorite YTers in once challenge! Congrats (no spoilers here) for pulling out the win! You nailed the negative split 5k like the champ you are 💪💪
Hey, I just wanted to say a big shout out to Mo, his little tip of saying if the running gets hard, just think "how would I run if this was easy"... I use it all the time now! 🙏🏾❤
Great to see Rick and Anna involved in a challenge, Will there be more videos on Mo's quest for a new 5k PB? Like him, I have just completed a marathon and will be attempting to get my 5k PB down (currently stands at 21:14).
Well done all and especially Anna. Interesting that it was that middle km that was so hard. I tried this the other day and couldn't even do it with my watch on! Running Channel, you rock
Been running for a month and a half after not doing any sort of fitness for 3 years. Managed 5km 17:32 and negative splits all of them. I am so shocked lol
I managed to do negative splits on my last parkrun, and got a PB too, It was not planned and just happened in fact I was increasing my splits by 5-10 seconds on each KM.
Loved this-I’M Terrible at pacing!! I have to use Intervals Pro to keep me on track: “speed up by {} minutes” or “slow down by {} seconds…” in my ear every few minutes is the only way I can be anywhere near on target.
Rick is back!! Yeahhh🎉 also this seems really hard my cause my last run was yesterday for an hour and 2 seconds in 88-degree heat 6.4 miles done. Then i did strength training with a 50 pound dumbell squat at 6:00 pm, then at 7:00PM i did pull ups for 20 minutes. Suffice it to say i am beat I'm gonna probably take a rest day today.😅
Rick, woohoo, way da go, Rick, congratulations!! Why does my performance bar show above base line (Gray histogram type bar? bar) for the first two k, but drops rapidly below for the base line for the final three. I'm bustin my chops.... (I'm a 70yr old male.) I always sprint for the first 400m.
Have you run negative splits in a race? Who do you think can win this challenge?
Just negative split a 10k, no looking at my watch. Fantastic!
Used PacePro this morning to get myself a negative split Parkrun PB of 18:46, well chuffed!
Amazing to see Rick running again! I love these kind of challenge videos where the goal isn't just who can go fastest
Good to see Rick back running & anything challenge that Anna is involved in is always worth watching.
It was awesome to be back head-to-head with Rick - even though we haven’t got to actually run together yet since he got back to running 😢
Was going to write the same. Rick has been through it with his knee ops. Fingers 🤞 that's all behind him oh and Anna beat you Rick....again 😁
Great to see Anna back and Rick's comeback has been great to watch. Really pleased for you, Rick we've all seen how much hard work you've put in
Thanks!
Rick is running again! 😃
he needs to carry a cone again

Rick & Anna in one video??!! Amazing!!
Yeah! Anna is back! It's been a while since we saw her! And how awesome is it to see Rick running again? You all did a good job, no matter the results. Every run matters and you all did fantastic efforts.
I knew Anna would smash that challenge! So great to see Rick running again too. Well done Sarah and Mo, still some amazing times there. 😊
Awesome to see Rick and Anna back in challenges together - too bad they couldn't banter
Hopefully there’ll be a challenge when we can soon 🤞
So true, really love their competitive natures playing off of each other.
Everyone at TRC is so awesome. it’s wonderful to get an Anna and Rick sighting!!
Can I just say, no matter who wins. How good is it to see Rick back running!!! well done buddy.
Yay the old team are back together!! Well done Anna, smashed it! Sarah, I think you can take that as a win too! Rick - 4:40!! You’re well and truly back 🎉🎉 Well done all 🎉
Can't say enough about the fortitude of Rick. Never thought his knee would allow more running in his life, and here he is ! Bravo Sir Rick!
So good seeing Rick running again. And, I thought Anna was goneski. Good to see her too. 😊
Great video! Well done Guys!
Finally we get to see Anna!!! 👏 We need her on the Podcasts please!!!
👋
Great to see you running again Rick. Also thanks again for the socks. (Met you on the tube after the London Marathon) 😊
Rick, good to see u running, Anna good to see u, it’s bn awhile, congrats! Sarah and Mo thx for the video. Jim Freeland

Welcome back to challenges Rick - we've missed you! And well done Anna 😊

I always enjoy your challenges and this one had the bonus of seeing Rick bad in it 🎉
Congrats Anna ❤ for winning the challenge.
Nice to see Rick running again and congrats to Anna! That's a neat challenge. I should try it out sometime.
i'm always amused by the brits and their concept of hills
Love the challenges, also great to see Anna is back!
Super fun to be back doing this one! That last km though ☠️
My last half marathon (1:22:01), I went through the first half around 42:30, but the second half was around 39:31. Bit extreme but better than the alternative.
Did same but quite a bit slower....
First 11 km in an hour and last 10km in 50 (inc last km at 4.20).
@@HS-fm9kvthat’s a massive difference. Kudos to you on the split
I love the thumbnail 😂😂 Anna seems to be honing in on Rick, like the good old friendly rivalry days 🎉
Yay Anna’s back and Rick is running again!
Well done Anna! She's absolutely right, the Rugby parkrun's hill is AWFUL.
Well done Anna, Rick the firsts in the Running channel, Sarah what an increase in this! Amazing
Go Anna. I am always rooting for you! Sarah, your result was also valid. Faster is faster, even just by a few milliseconds. Rick and Moh, must try harder 😂
Seriously great to see you running again Rick.
And Moh still has the halo for the sub 3 marathon.
Everyone's a winner!
So nice to see Anna again she has been missed
Such fun, well done guys especially to you Anna, looks like ull have to run 30k up a mountain more often 😂💪💥 great to see Rick running again ❤
After watching your video I did my first 5k parkrun with -ve split on each KM (using my watch) 4:52, 4:46, 4:39, 4:35 and a final push of 4:29🙂
A great challenge! Also great to see Rick and Anna again!
Anna! Great job! Happy to see your smile again… been missing you!
A fun challenge to be asked back to do! 🎉
Mo's 5KM of 18:24 is seriously impressive! 👍🏃
Amazing. That's a really tough challenge. Especially if you are giving honest effort the first k.
Well done Anna, and welcome back Rick. 👍👍
Sarah completed that fair & square. Congrats to both the winners!
Great video. Loving all the content and presenters lately, and good to see Anna and Rick back in a challenge
Thanks Paul! 🙏
The absolute best thing ever to see Rick run again!
❤️
That was very enjoyable to watch after my threshold session. (Anna, I think "First cut is the deepest" is Rod Stewart. 😁)
Ahhh… was there a cover of it..? 🤔
@@anna.the.runner To be honest, I don't know!
This channel is just absolutely class!!
Well done all and I love these challenges and nice to see you back Rick
So cool to see Rick especially running again. Welcome back. Nice challenge.
I love to see Rick running again! I love this for you mate!
❤ this! Smashed it Anna 👌🏽
Well done everyone! So good to see Rick running again and doing a challenge

It's great to see Rick on the roads again. Congratulations!
Glad to see Rick back running again! Are we going to hear more about Anna's ultra? Or maybe her training for the next one?
4 of my favorite YTers in once challenge! Congrats (no spoilers here) for pulling out the win! You nailed the negative split 5k like the champ you are 💪💪
🎉🎉🎉
Well done everyone!
It is nice to see Rick running again.
Delighted to see Rick back running. Great to see the full Running Channel back together 🏃♀️🏃♀️😊
Well done Anna, and great to see Rick back in the challenges (although he might not think so 😂)
😂
Yay! Rick is back again! Amazing work mate
Congratulations Anna for the win. But my gosh Rick a 4:40 km on your comeback? WTF.
so great to see Anna back - lake Como 30k by any chance?
Fun challenge. Great job to you all. Nice to see Rick running again!
Loving this longer video. Great content as always
Thanks Debra
BRUTAL!!! amazing effort all. Rick, so lovely to see you back and Anna! Woo!!!!
I’ve got the 7 valleys 100km in the Lake District at the end of September 🎉
@@anna.the.runner amazing!! :D x
4th km is always the hardest. i can never manage to run negative splits, i just cant help myself but to go out quick.
Sarah gets a pass surely? For 5k I'm more get out fast, settle in, even pace, sprint the final 12 metres (pretend I had an incredible sprint finish).
Rick you look amazing. Take it easy buddy. Lots of love.
Rugby is in my top ten nearest parkruns not run yet. Might even see you there Anna.
Annaaaaa!
wooo Anna and Rick :D
Hey, I just wanted to say a big shout out to Mo, his little tip of saying if the running gets hard, just think "how would I run if this was easy"... I use it all the time now! 🙏🏾❤
I do the exact opposite when I try to hold back in the beginning of a big run. "How would I run if this was hard"
@@thedolenorway I meant it more from a form check instead of the pace, but I can see how that could work too!
Great to see Rick and Anna involved in a challenge,

I really love watching your challenges, it also challenges me to do those things
GREAT JOB ANA!! 🎉🎉🎉
Thank you 🎉

I love how you all had completely different guesses about how well the others would do 🤣
Fully recharged! This time, at Friday morning June 2, sub 10. That's to easy.
Loved this-I’M Terrible at pacing!! I have to use Intervals Pro to keep me on track: “speed up by {} minutes” or “slow down by {} seconds…” in my ear every few minutes is the only way I can be anywhere near on target.

Suffice it to say i am beat I'm gonna probably take a rest day today.😅
I am going to try this for my 5k pb race effort next week!!
I always feel more satisfied having run negative splits than getting a better time with positive splits
Rick's back! 👏😃😃
VAR on the maths for Mo’s last km differential!!
Not guilty 😅
Yeah Rick is back in the running challenges.
Hey Anna. Will we see any videos of your effort in Italy. Was it the 30km at Lake Como? 👊🏻
Hey. It was indeed the 30km in Como! Tough! I filmed some stuff that I’ll pop up on my channel soon (when I get chance!)
I mean technically Sarah did it, 4:35.69 is really 4:36 if we are rounding to the nearest second...
This message Happy wore Buffs over their watches for their recent challenge! 😅
Hi Team, u guys are doing great job and really motivated me a lot. Can u please suggest me a best pair of running shoes
I literally do this every race, never what I intend, but it seems to be the way I function.
Sarah being milliseconds faster should totally count.
I'm doing the Positive Spilt Challenge: run the first half of the 5K and walk the second.
