    I have the same model as yours. It’s loud and doesn’t make any CFM. It takes quite a while to make enough volume of air at any pressure to air up a pickup tire.

    Yep Jeff maybe 2 loud. I need to set up a compressor regulator so I can do some priming possibly even painting. Definitely would like to set it up outside that's for sure.

      Yeah outside is the answer...my bigger compresser is quiet compared to that small one....took it back and use the money for something else....glade you stopped by

    2lbs of Tannerite should quiet it right down.

    My old Craftsman is loud too. Just the nature of the beast. Put that cardboard box over it to see if that gives you any relief. If so, build a box for it with insulation on the inside and that will likely bring the noise down to a more tolerable level. Of course leave a hole for air circulation. That's a nice little compressor, keep it and work out a noise solution.

      I took it back and I'm just going to use my big compressor...it in the other garage and not as loud...thanks for watching and commenting sir

    I dont know what I'd do, but I keep seeing it and it looks so cute and portable that I want it without any obvious reason to actually have it
    I mean, aside from the fact you can never have too many tools

    • @one62projects
      @one62projects  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Lol...you said it...can't have to many tools

    As I see it, you have 2 choices. 1) build a little soundproof housing for it, or 2) take it back and try to find one that is not so noisy.
    A nice little unit though.

      @@one62projects Shame, it looked quite a handy little compressor, just right for those 'little' jobs like blowing carbs through etc.

    If you don't need alot of capacity in tank size I would try and exchange it for the fortress brand my 1 gallon is surprisingly quiet. I only run an airbrush or nail gun with it.

      @one62projects  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I decided to go back to the big compressor going to work out better even if the air hose will run 50 feet from the tank

    Nice. It is kind of loud!!! Improperly mounted compressors for air bags are truly noisy. I'm not sure if isolating that with rubber feet would help. It sounds like the compressor is just loud.

    Go back to Harbor Freight and return it and get the Fortress 64596 or 59840, I have the larger Fortress 56403 and it is very quite. If not fortress look at the California Air Compressors.

    Ain't ran into an oil-free compressor that wasn't annoyingly loud! Nature of the beast. You need to stick with the old tried and true oil lube units..... IF you can find any.

    Harbor freight had some very good compressors... But they discontinued all the best ones they had a 26 gallon belt driven oil lubed one for $350 that was worth it's weight in gold quiet ran on 120v my niegbor bought one has had it 8 years no issues at all. I myself bought the 60 gallon two stage they use to sell pump made in Italy tank in USA on sale for $850... All the oiless units do not last in constant duty they eventually over time the diaphragm break and are not worth fixing.. And are very loud...only the small hobby ones are quiet enough to be in the same room with them.....its a real shame HFT did this... Now your best choice is to take one of the pumps from them they sell and build your own very sad.

      Sounds like another project....lol...according to my list I can't build my own for another 3 years...lol...thanks for watching
