A fight depicting two former colleagues who would fail the interview question, "Have you ever had conflict with a coworker." Also, after many trials and tribulations, Komekome has finally defeated his "demon" (Daru_I-No) in an actual tournament bracket. In Asia, there are online tournaments for GGST hosted every Sunday, and Komekome had won 3-2 against Daru in the winners' final portion of the tournament - Daru had many chances to end the set when he was up 2-1 - but seemingly hesitated -- and this was all Komekome needed to get enough momentum to take the set to game 5. Komekome also challenged Daru's approaches much more than in this set using 5P, 5K, and 6P - much like Gobou does, and that seemed to have helped tremendously. Many times, Komekome believes that he can just block I-No's mixups, and that will not be the case for the majority of interactions... Later in the bracket, Komekome lost to a Johnny user (not necessarily a surprise, seeing as Gobou refers to Mist Finer as *"Zero-risk Mist Finer"* while playing as Asuka) and had to play Daru_I-No again in the loser's final part of the bracket; winning with an impressive 3-0. Daru later reflected on what went wrong during those sets, and found out that he was engaging in bad habits that should be avoided when fighting an Asuka user such as: contantly backdashing; overzealously using 6P; not looking at the spells; and a lack of blocking (more than likely from nerves). That being said, if you have faced a player numerous times and the fight always ends in your defeat, please know that if you make the adjustments, study their playstyle, and break your own bad habits, you can most definitely win -- GGST is not so severely unbalanced that one cannot win against a player of equal skill and match-up knowledge. Last, a viewer recently asked for Gobou's opinion on the current state of Case 2, below is a translation of Gobou's response ( _Translations by me_ ): *"Regarding Case 2: Although Asuka's reputation has relatively elevated (he's become more popular with players) due to the weakening of his performance, in my opinion, even if Asuka's normal attacks were to inflict serious damage, he would still only be an inferior version of a character that is generally strong in fistfights (Case 3)."* All things considered, Gobou feels that Case 2 is simply an inferior version of Case 3 -- and that... hurts... when speaking in English, he used the term that Case 3 is "more reasonable" than Case 2; and for those who are unaware, Gobou uses the word "unreasonable" for weak characters - which would make sense considering that he still believes to this day that Case 2 is ineffective by Case 3 standards... My apologies for the long post, but for those read it in its entirety, I appreciate you.
They were arguing about whether or not they want to keep Chaos around (Axl is in the background and wants to deflate the situation but doesn't want to die)
@@kingpurplelolWell, Asuka does not like I-No, but actually cares about Chaos; so I think it would be more of a debate about whether or not Asuka and Chaos want to keep I-No around.
@@waitingforzato-1i-noinguil301I think he is pretty indifferent about I-No, she was a real threat but he never seems to be advocating for her demise or anything like it
@@buihuy5211It was quite a while ago since I watched the story mode for GGST, but Asuka apparently knew that I-No was going to d*e (it was hinted during his fight with Chaos) and did nothing to prevent it - yet warned Chaos that assisting I-No will cause him to disappear as well (this was Asuka showing concern for Chaos). Not only that, but Chaos said that Asuka thinks of I-No as his enemy, so I would call that dislike by Asuka's standards... I-No believes that Asuka is beneath her, so I guess the feeling of dislike between these two is a bit mutual.
I was watching the previous video before this one too, and Komekome's Asuka plays so different than Zando's. Both are really nice with the character, but I really dig Komekome's offensive style. Dude is not afraid to be in your face jumping too.
Im a bit newer to this game and am trying to get a grip on characters, but it kinda feels like just blocking against daru just isn’t possible, is there a way to go against her when she keeps doing highs to lows, cause it seems like even this asuka is getting confused
Faultless defense helps if you can block at least 1 or 2 attacks since it'll force I-no to dash in farther for the next attempts, possibly giving you some room to knock her out of the air with a 6P. Of course she can start mixing in 2S and doing STBT (the ground slide spike attack) to clip you but I've found it can help to keep her at an uncomfortable range.
