If only Shadow knew how in-your-face aggressive this guy was just a couple of weeks ago. If he'd done this before the update he would've seen the guy spawn on top of him dozens of times and gotten an endless stream of warnings at the bottom of the screen about failing to "follow regulations". I'm so glad the aggression has been toned down compared to what I've seen of this mod from other youtubers. It had been at a point where you couldn't take two steps non-crouched without getting a warning or a jumpscare. This is a much better rate of incidents and a broader variety of tricks that creates some great analog horror vibes.
Yeah this mod has been vastly improved by toning it down. It now actually feels atmospheric and has more of that slowly building feeling of dread. Could still just be random but it also feels like the image jumpscares are gradually escalating in the nature of what is shown. Before it was about a minute before "RUN" would appear on the screen followed by "DING DING DING" and someone's image folder filled with downloads from r/cursedimages was dumped onto the screen. More annoying and frankly unintentionally hilarious than scary. Props to the creator for making something actually tense.

I seen it happen quite often with me. I like attacking those hordes for fun. Sometimes when attacking a zombie, they call a zombie buddy to come and help fight. It’s like they have an ability on their action bar to do so. I remember just punching zombies on a 3 block high tower and just summoning a lot of them.

The way you had the camera view through the Silence's eyes was cinematic perfection. A very creepy mod and another excellent video! And I did like your house. The stone brick and cherry leaves complimented the pink wood nicely.
Thank you! I just wanted a 'Scene Setup' because maybe an hour passed in recording. Didnt just want a 'whip' transition, and viewers be like, 'where are we now'. I thought it was a nice touch myself.

Gosh, that cherry grove spot was perfect to build in. Your house was nice and quaint! I do love when you add variation to the stone, understandably you couldn't do it this time, and I feel that would have been the best finishing touch for your house.
I watch some analog horror, this was a pretty interesting take for a Minecraft Mod. Having this video be vanilla with only this mod helped make some vanilla sounds terrifying too, since it's just the mod added. I do hope the mod gets a little bit of an update to balance a bit and provide some variation, but maybe the dude is supposed to do some more and was broken? Maybe something to revisit some time later, if it's still on the radar!
I get strong GREYLOCK horror vibes from the video tape at the end. Tape 008, if I'm remembering correctly, finding ancient artifacts deep in the mountain plus terrifying beings.

everything from 55:15 forward is an excellent example of how some humans lose every single wit they have when faced with anxiety/terror. Dude floundered around around so hard he jumped off of a tree into a clearly visibly open area. dude could see where he was going and blindly dove into fall damage of his own accord. such is the power of the flight response. anyways good video thanks for making it, this was a pretty tame video compared to some of the horror minecraft vids and definitely had my attention without under or oversaturating the horror too much. sorry the world had to end so soon in though, definitely not a fair death with how panicked you were lol
Also it help me understand English better why? Cause I'm Mexican, i speak Spanish, but learning English and watching awesome content like this, you Shadow, Sean and kim it's just that part called happiness.
Finding content you like that is not in your native language is the most efficient way to learn it! I’m an ESL teacher and I got one of my students loves minecraft so we watch Sean’s and Shadow’s vids as a listening activity
@@underscoreLex Oh yeah, in my case I didn't learn it at school or anything, I work on costumer service and mostly of my costumers are foreigners so I love talking with them and I like more when they correct me if I get a word or a sentence wrong, that's how I learn.
And yeah I don't regret my decision of learning this awesome language, so I'll try to keep it up, and learning more everyday.

I’ve tried to learn another language and it’s hard, especially when you have no one to talk to in that language (though I tried talking to my cat in French at one point, which was kinda fun).
The house is adorable.. i wouldnt have done it so tall but for content creation you gotta...i have too much anxiety to have any house storey over 2 blocks... had a bad experience with an enderman 1 time.. never again...
I can't stand 2 blocks high in my houses, but I always make sure to have a space of some kind that is 2 spaces (usually the chest room). Cause I also had a bad experience with a enderman 😭
@CuteShapeshifter right!! I haven't played in a long time in anything but peaceful.. I have anxiety issues... I know it sounds lame af not to be able to play a simple video game like minecraft... but the creepers and the enderman freak me out how they will just BE there and bam you're dead...
@@jlindsey79no that’s not lame. Everyone has their limits. I usually play on peaceful unless I really need supplies from a monster, then a switch to easy temporarily and go back. Mostly because I have really bad anxiety and when I’m playing Minecraft I’m doing it to ignore that anxiety and having a bunch of zombies and creepers popping up behind me doesn’t the opposite of that. It’s okay to make the games you play work for you!! And anyone who thinks that lame or boring is just an ahole who hates letting people have their own fun!!

Ok this version of the mod I love. It's an occasional jumpscare which builds up to a chase. It's not 6 chase scenes during a day anymore with like 50 jumpscares. Love it
The knocking on the doors and these other sounds actually made me jump for the first time in these Minecraft horror videos lol
It's sublte yet such an effective way to catch you off guard
Oh yeah ambient sound can make or break a horror series. The little knocks and footsteps and stuff you hear around your character is always what makes me turn a series off. If it’s especially good, I just freak out completely!! It’s really cool how something as innocuous as a footstep (something you hear every day) can be so scary
The game's default cave noises instantly make me want to quit. It's very effective at scaring people, idk why but i get so freaked out at them lol
@@saltydinonuggies1841 If you like that kind of stuff, you should really try Dead Space! A colossal part of its gameplay is based around the sounds of the Ishimura as you explore the dead ship.

I genuinely like this mod a lot. I’m a bit sad you didn’t get to hear his creepy laugh. It’s just unnerving and is another constant reminder that you’re not alone. (Like we need reminding to begin with) They were in early versions of the mod so, I’m hoping it didn’t get removed and it’s just harder to get as a sound cue. Hearing his laugh in the caves is chilling.
I'm not impressed by mods that try too hard to be scary and this is one of them. The monster look like Squidward high on LSD and spawning on the player is just cheap.
Would have been a million times scary If the silence behave like a second(hostile) player that is constantly hunting you down, not overly invencible or anything but just as able to open doors, place and destroy blocks and overall do what Steve do.

The Silence was legit creepy. Great video. The slower pace of the video and creepy music really helped to sell this mode. Loved the video.
Honestly, this would've been great for another series. The story seems intriguing; I would love to see you exploring it further.
Anyways, the house looks great, although it might've been better if you used the wood consistently or only one, e.g. either cherry or oak or spruce. But that's just my opinion 💜

Important thing about horror like this, ya' gotta keep the monster out of sight for as long as possible. There's a certain anxiety in not knowing what's hunting you.
I will say this the house looks amazing! It is an amazing work for first try with cherry wood shaving get to put the glass in it.

damn, I'm already in love with this video. The shaders and background music fit SO well. I'm currently at 11:46 minute of watching and I'm already amazed how good it turned out. I also love how it gives of a movie like vibe and the Seed you're playing on looks so beautiful (I won't mind if you could share it with me :D ). + Little tip here - it would be even creepier if you could add a vhs tape effect and grain effect (not too much, just slightly). i think the cherry wood house is really nice! the stone could be replaced with some other, possibly lighter material to make it look a bit nicer, but it's a good first job!
