The first minute or so my plow was raised the snow was deep enough to still kick up in the air, a minute into the job I dropped the plow and found out how much snow there really was !
I got an f-350 with a western wideout and goodyear duratracs. there has been 2 times where my truck couldn't push my straight blade, couldn't even angle it off to the side. sometimes a V plow is the only tool that will do the job.
howw does your truck keep going through that??? a few years back i saw a few plow trucks get stuck in under a foot of snow.. I dont feel comfortable driving in much more than 2 foot Max
@@410dash wow it plowed like a beast! I have a 2016 Ford F-350 with the 6.2 gasser and same 3.73 gears and love it. I installed a new 9.2 Boss stainless Vplow it. I added about 720lbs of tube sand in the back for traction. You think that’s enough or should I add more weight? Thanks in advance and thanks for replying
Nothing against you, but The Weather Channel doing that is, in my opinion, stupid. They're all about the ratings and they were even asked by the National Weather Service to please not name winter storms, but they did it anyway. Good luck this winter with your snow plowing. It's the best part of winter being able to rip through some snow and watch the rooster tails fly.
I just plowed for 36 hours straight, don't you love hitting raised manholes when tour plow jumps up near the windsheild...still scares the shit out of me
I just picked up a 90 Chevy 2500 4x4 with a 7' plow on it. Manual angle but it will get the job done. Will be my first time plowing snow. Hope the truck and the plow will be worth it. Going to put about 1000lbs of gravel in the back for weight and counter balance. I will see how it goes. You have a nice set up there
thats nice!!!!! my dad has an extreame v but its powder coated but its a good plow and its nice to have it so you can scoop and if u want use the v plow the v plow worked good for the blizzard!
Thats Fuckin Crazy. I live in northern mass and our plow guy has a chevy 3500 dually gasser with that same plow and he was havin trouble pushin the snow.
Lol yea...I'm in ny and we been getting storm after storm so my favorite is hitting a wall of old rock hard snow thinking it's soft and your plow jumps like 7 ft in the air an scares the shit out of you...
That was pretty cool the snow was so deep it came right up over the headlights !
That.s pushing snow, best video i've seen
Great Video. Aren't you glad you had that Fisher V-Plow?

That's insane! That's some deep ass snow

2008 F-250 Fisher 8 1/2' Stainless V Plow
Question!
Are those the original windshield wipers, or you need special ones for snow? No snow where I live, just curious :)
that wiper sound is killing me right now.
Thanks !
you have a pretty nice truck
Drop the plow and let the fun begin!
Yes I was ! A strait blade wouldn't have worked nearly as well, you know how angling to one side steers you in the opposite direction.
Gas V8 works pretty good!
Of course. Tried and true

iliketobuildstuff it was light fluffy snow, kinda like feathers.

About 35 to 38 inches, it was drifted in a few spots.
Only $20 for wiper blades bub
I have seen a lot of snow like that in 1969 1970 but its been a while
Yup it is

@@geevenom8098 I would say 7 or 800 pounds would work, I had a 1 1/2 yard sander in the back of mine for ballast most of the time.
@@410dash Ok 👍🏼 thanks
I guess I'm guilty ! They named the storm I used it as a reference. LOL !
Why on earth is she shutting us off..... how rude!....

He sounds like he's from Boston.
Now that you mention it .........!
Is your truck a powerstroke or a Gaser?
What kinda truck? and plow

Same here the "snow" banks are like 4ft tall concrete barriers !
