Rockstar likely planned for compson's gun being a cap n' ball revolver, but decided to change it to an old caplock muzzleloading pistol later on. Given the dialogue, it's likely that Rockstar were too far into producing the stranger mission to bother rewriting the dialogue.
I think its cool how Arthur Invents Molotovs, by inventing whisky strong enough to catch fire Molotovs were first used in 1930s, and the whisky was only 15-25% strong in his day, so can't even be lit on fire. What else did they take liberties on

I remember playing Tomb Raider 2 as a kid and killing the dragon at he end but standing really close to it as I did, so Laura pulls the dagger from the dragon while still on fire from it's last attack and immediately dies following the short scene that plays.
This EXACT same thing happened to me when I was a kid in a game called Sly Cooper 2: Band of Thieves. There is a mission in the 2nd level where the cutscene trigger is right next to a fire and if you set yourself on fire before going into the cutscene Sly will be all black and on fire for the whole cutscene.
That game was my childhood and I practically know it inside out, but I've never had that happen! I guess I should test it for myself one of these days. Also (this is unrelated), a fun glitch I found on the first level, one of the missions is taking pictures of Dimitri and his operation. If you use the "reset level" cheat code, you'll actually spawn inside the boss area in the same level instead of the overhead vent area. If you try fighting Dimitri in this state, the game will crash
there shouldn't be any fire at all...if you know anything about molotovs, you need 2 things. Them to be invented(first used in 1930s) and alchohol to be strong enough to be flammable, this had neither. They had grenades as early as 700 AD but the same is not true for Molotov. Yet they have molotov but not grenades? how lame, what else are they making up and playing off as real Do they actually think a powder loader is a revolver?

Had a similar situation like a month or so ago I came across a hostage situation and threw a Molotov cocktail which set everyone on fire The hostage screamed and fell down into a river somehow surviving Then got up and walked away as if he wasn't just on fire two seconds prior If that river wasn't there he'd be dead
