Bravo, maestro! Years ago, I acquired a CD on which you play this masterpiece at Saint-Ouen. It immediately became my favourite CD recording, and still is. And this Saint-Sulpice rendition is to my ears the best version available on TH-cam. I appreciate the sincere devotion with which you appear to approach the piece and the profound majesty you manage to call forth from the score. It's all very impressive and immersive to me. For you, playing this piece does not seem to be about flashy physical virtuosity, but about intense spiritual expression. Merci beaucoup!
I think that the recording is a little bit too direct. Because of this the ambiguity, the dreaminess and intimacy are actually for me personally a little bit too far away.
