    I can't believe how much of this I "stumbled onto by accident". I chose the 2000W 48V CNSWIPOWER Pure sine inverter to power my Refrigerator + Freezer units. I had a specific goal in mind, so I didn't go "too big" on the inverter so as to keep down the standby draw. I wish I had John's info before-hand, but I just got lucky I guess! My unit (at 48V, mind you...) draws only 600mA no-load. When I told this to the local guy I got my panels from (He buys in bulk and resells for a good price) - he did not believe it. Also, that very unit has been running NON-STOP for over a year now... so far so good. I only hear the fan kick on when a compressor starts, or if it gets really hot in my garage on a summer day. Another "funny" -- John uses copper pipe for battery bus bars on Duracell GC2 Golf Car batteries --- SO DID I !!

    I really like and enjoy your videos, with a lot of knowledge and experience. I also like your paternal side, with your children, teaching them, in this case Kera, and passing them such great knowledge. That makes them more eager to learn, more curious to even experiment and come out with their own ideas. They have great attitudes, certainly are more intelligent than many kids that waste their time in useless things, and your children will succeed in life. Through the videos, you show and develop a good and healthy relationship, with confidence and trust between father and daughter. Gid bless you and your family.

    I'm running the SWIpower 48v-3000w unit in the workshop, and it handles everything except the bigger air compressor. The miter saw dims the LED lights a bit on start up. So I'm thinking about the 6000w inverter to reduce the chances of inverter damage. I'm supplying the DC from 2 48v rack mount EG4 LiFePO4 100ah batteries with 100 amp bms, so I think that should cover the inrush requirements. Right now, without solar, I can run normal tool and lighting use for a week or two on 2-3 hours of generator runtime.
    A low frequency inverter might be better, but there's the cost and weight. EG4 has a 6000w low frequency all in one, but it's split phase, so back to only 3000w per 120v leg.

      Power queen is in talks with Xijia, I arranged that last November. They should be getting a end faceplate digital full screen 2023 version in golden rod color, based on the tough as nails SWI 2500 ( my hands down favorite mid size inverter ) s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_DBysWo3 but sadly their price will not get anywhere as low as SWI-Power on it. They got the Arvorex Tech Energy ( ATEM POWER ) dc to dc charger I sent them the contacts and info on at the same time, and released it branded in May this year, but $15 more.

    • @JOHNDANIEL1
      @JOHNDANIEL1  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Charge a capacitor to 6 to 7 volts DC, then you tap it (proper polarity) on the terminals of the battery cell to discharge it. Start with the cell drained to under 3 volts and if it is already dead and has NO volts then connect to a power supply set 1 amp at 5 volt supply, and while on that supply hit it with the capacitor a few times while keeping a meter on it to see progress of fail. If 3 to 5 times you get nothing, then its dead.

    ill be buying one these in the future, i do have good inverters but a decent 12v inverter for when im out in the wilderness will be handy .
    im a worry wort, like a what if guy, the no neutral point makes sense in comparison to an alternator, here for a fixed location they wire the neutral to the earth (an MEN connection ) and put a ground rod in so the rcd kicks in fast enough to prevent an afib.

      I recommend the 2500 model since its on a huge sale, s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_DBysWo3 since it can run on 2 - 100ah better than the 3000 which needs 250amp so it makes it much more portable. The 2500 I have tested to hit 3100 watts for over 20 seconds with no sag in voltage due to the fact it is has the input cabling of the 3000 but less demand on them. I am trying to get another one of them asap to show it.

    I have the 3000/24v model, and this thing is a tank, it is also noisy and the fan comes on every 5 fricking minutes whether it is under load or not, makes for a good emergency unit when my Growatt took a dump, now running a Victron 24v 3000VA/2400 watt invertor and it runs great, and it should for what I paid for it. I bought one of the SWI's on your recommendation and very glad I did, it is obvious this thing is built with quality components.

    Looks like a beast, I need to run a submersible well pump motor with a 1/2 hp, 120 vac motor. It has a high start load of about 40 amps, then runs at 8 amps. Will this beast start up a motor like this? I have not yet found an inverter that will, as they seem to have a cutoff and do not take the surge. I run this pump now with a 2.5 Onan generator, but would like to go battery/ inverter/ solar.
    What do you think?

    • @JOHNDANIEL1
      @JOHNDANIEL1  ปีที่แล้ว

      The one I put the link to, the 6000 it will run a 1 horse 120 volt Grundfos deep well submersible pump from a 110 foot deep well, and its been on it over 2 years. So I would say yes. But you can't be like most folks and under-battery it! This will put out a start of 6 seconds of 50 amps, 2 seconds 60 amps and run continuous at over 35 amps without even breaking a sweat. But you got to have the battery to do it. 400ah is the starting point, 800ah is the best with a minimum of 900 watts solar to assure all night pumping capability.

    • @daviddavis7855
      @daviddavis7855 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks, that is the info for which I am looking. Specs on my 1/2 hp are 47 amps for startup, but do not know duration. Likely less that 1 hp. Runs on 8-9 amps, so just need high startup correct, without a automatic cutoff!@@JOHNDANIEL1

    • @JOHNDANIEL1
      @JOHNDANIEL1  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They have a huge sale on all of them. I recommend the 2500 model, LED not LCD, s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_DBysWo3 to anyone building like your planning since it can run on 2 - 100ah better than the 3000. The 3000 needs 250amp ability minimum. But the 3000 is ( including lugs and mounting flange ) 18-7/8" long, 6-3/4" wide & 3-1/2 high. The 2500 watt model is about 2" shorter, the 2000 model is about 3-1/2" shorter.
      Why the LED over the LCD model, you can relocate the LED meters out of the inverter body with some skills to a outer case like your discussing.

    @johndaniel1 Do any of their inverters output 30A @ 120V AC? I'm looking to directly connect my RV to a single outlet and no where can I find the terminal block specs. Thanks for all the videos!

    • @JOHNDANIEL1
      @JOHNDANIEL1  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The screw terminals are good for 25 amps but your 30 amp RV system contains 7 to 9 amps for the AC to DC converter. If your going to be on battery you will not be using it. So your real demand on your system won't exceed in normal conditions anything over 20 to 25 amps. The 6000 would easily handle your average RV with plenty of power. And you can run individual items like a microwave on a some of the plugs. Most 4000 watt Power Stations with a 30 amp RV plug cost over $2500 are only good for 20 amps max output as example from their inverters.

    john how many 235 lead acid batteries and solar watts would you need to run that test?

    • @JOHNDANIEL1
      @JOHNDANIEL1  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      4 with 1000 watts solar per hour will give you about 15 minutes of similar full load run time. It grows on a upward curve based on lead acid gravity rating, so 6 would gain its ability by supporting the voltage more. Example: If your needing a 6000 watt inverter, you plan to see its peak up to 1 hour per day, ( big heaters or stove) 25 to 30% the rest of the day. A proper system would be 3200 watts solar, @5.7 hours a day full charging and 10 of the 235AH Rolls Surettes 1175AH @12v to assure you have a 15% extra capacity coverage.

      The closer you get to peak the less efficient any of them are. The CSL rating I explain in a video is the Constant Service Load rating. The SWI Power ( for the cost of the item ) is about the highest CSL you can get for the money today.
      23 years dealing with inverters, hundreds of brands, builds, styles and options I have found the inverters ability in peak efficiency is the only way to pick one. The 6000 has about 3900 watts where its voltage sag/heat management/DC heat on components is stable. Over that efficiency starts to drop, fan stays on full time, and heat becomes saturated. It still will run to and over the makers claim, just not to your benefit. Other brands are horrible in CSL, so I stick with Swi Power.
