I legit teared up at how hype I got about this battle theme.
Some of the best game titles existed before the graphics ever caught up. The music was very much on par and cutting edge for quality producers such as Square, now Square Enix, and you are experiencing that same music today, as came 20+ years ago. This is the original battle music.
I will kiss my kids and my wife goodbye and lock myself in my media room for a few weeks when this comes out.

This battle music... its so perfect. I can’t wait.
This battle music is 20+ years old. This is their masterpiece offered 20 years sooner, yet the graphics engine couldn't keep up due to technological issues of it's day. The story, fantastic. Today, you get story, graphics, expansion on the story, and also the same and most likely new kick azz music.
Today's FF7 remake, should be a treat.
Max Steelman Absolutely, I love that they stayed loyal to the same battle music. It makes the nostalgia that much stronger and made me feel that same excitement and hype I felt when I was a kid.

Coming back here after beating this boss earlier is awesome because everything you see here is actually in-game and not 'customized' to make it look cool for the trailers.

Haven't seen anyone else say this, but I love how you can see on Cloud's sword which materia types you have slotted.
clouds sword changing is a thing in FF7 ps1, the color of the materia is the least you should expect

I think the hardest part about FF7R will be trying to see the game while im crying from joy
FF7R looks absolutely amazing. I haven't been this excited for a game for a long time.
Tips: • Keep tissues handy to wipe tears of joy
• Tape cotton balls under your eyes so the tears of joy don't drip
• Pause the game when you tear up and look at a wall with whatever you hate on it (to calm back down)
• Stay away from bright lights (your eyes might be sensitive)

That was not what happened. She wasn't blocking the floodlights to see above her or her head would be tilted upwards. Looks more like she's trying to find something in the distance when the monster was right above her. You're giving undue praise here. But since we are on this point, none of the characters actually did that. They just stared blankly straight. This should be more of a criticism than compliment.

Part of me actually hopes that's not in the game. Besides using them in the game to meat both weapons, they were way overkill with everything else.
@@melmagallon6233 in that case, you don't have to use Knights of the Roundtable; you can exercise the freedom to turn down the option and play without the help of guardians. I'm not as good at video games as you and most people on the internet, so I needed every character (Tifa, Barret, Cloud) maxed out at level 99, every potion I hoarded, and every knight to barely beat Sephiroth and survive his neverending barrage of super nova.

This is stylish, immersive, technical, and still feels like the FFVII world. Music is also great. I love how the enemy used the environment to eliminate the burning status effect.

@@wielderXII I don't see why not. That was one of the few things that FFXV did really well. The loot system combined with the break system was very well done. I just wish they had taken the creativity a bit further.
I could imagine having breaks only happen under certain conditions. Like if an enemy is weak to Ice, having to freeze a certain appendage to get it to break to get it to drop. Or the opposite, an enemy that absorbs Ice and gets stronger when hit by Ice magic being required to power up by Ice Magic fully before the break conditions are met.
Could make some of the boss fights and grind sessions a little more interesting, especially for those of us who like to get perfect save files.
I doubt FFVII-R will have a system like that, otherwise they would have advertised it by now. But it's fun to think about.
I'm thinking we might get some quests to fight a boss and maybe possibly get a summon materia that way which imo would be cool honestly
The summoning was perfectly done here. Great animation, autonomy from the caster, but at the same time, they aren't overpowered that they make a boss battle a cakewalk either.

I love what they did to the Summons. I much prefer that they aid you in Combat and there's a bar that depletes. And then after that they do a Special move. Just like the original. It was a little annoying having Summons on me. I'm also glad that Materia doesn't decrease your stats. It was so annoying.

They are not using Luminous engine in full potential because of the limitations. And it's still new
Unreal Engine 4 is the best thing that has happened to the Japanese videogame industry since the PS2 era ended. The beginning of the HD era was rough for them but there’s a very clear turning point once they began adopting Unreal instead of trying to implement their own damn engines.

After completing the game and listening to the soundtrack and finish this clip, the ifrit bit really hits home to how good it fits in with the orchestral song. He f**ks up abzu! An unrivalled master piece. Cannot wait for part 2

"Still More Fighting" is getting better. What will "One Winged Angel" sounds like in the remake? Will it be more dramatic than "Apocalysis Noctis"?
You won't hear it in this remake. They are going to tell the story of Cloud in Midgard up to them leaving Midgard.
One Winged Angel is the final battle between Sephiroth and the gang. We may hear that sometime in 2026
The remake only covers up until the leaving of Midgar, the people behind the remake aren't even sure if there will be anything more than that, and they're not sure how they'll tackle it even if they do.
@@MrScootify They already know and said they are finishing all of 7. Its not an "if". But Midgar is the first game. You are correct they dunno how they are doing the next one yet. But they also claim the wait between each part will be shorter. Since so much of the game and its assets are now in place.

Yeah it sounds on point to the original. I was fearing that they'd go the advent children route and have a rock version like they did for one winged angel in the movie. If the rest of the soundtrack, including one winged angel, are of this quality, I'll be thoroughly happy.

It's the same battle theme music from the original. Sometimes quality producers are ahead of their time, even if graphics can't keep pace. You DON'T ever pre-order EA titles, but you shouldn't have that issue with SE games. SE is quality, usually masterpiece quality.

This is EXACTLY what i wanted. Long fights, cool moves, versatility and LOUD epic music at any given time. Also a masterpiece of a video, the crescendo of the limits ending with Ifrit going apeshit on him corrisponding to the crescendo of the music.

I LOVE THE BEGINNING OF THE MUSIC, it’s a moment of countdown to prepare for one hell of a battle
I love how strong and well-rounded they've made all the characters in this game, male and female alike. They didn't force the women into subservient, weakling roles -- the women are actually significantly stronger than the men, in fact. And they didn't just rely on stereotypes, especially the stupid tsundere and yandere ones for the women.
They feel like real people, and while all the characters are strong enough to stand alone, they all lean and rely on each other to get through the tough times, both physical and emotional.
Thank you, Square-Enix, for constructing this masterpiece of a game.

This game really hits home. I have awesome middle school memories struggling to conquer all 4 CDs on the PS1. To be able to see it come back re-mastered is freaking awesome! Would have been great to have kept the classic rpg fighting style though. The music is awesome and glad to hear the originals re-mastered!

This is going to be so epic. Imagine all the legendary scenes. Tower collapse, climbing up to Shinra HQ, escaping Shinra HQ after Jenova massacred them all... omfg.
The summon system looks more like Final Fantasy XII than Final Fantasy XV, "they fight along with you for a while" not "just throwing a staff and then leave". If we summon knights of the rounds, I wonder how many people we'll see attacking a monster in the screen?
