All I wanted to do was remount a PDC sensor that had fallen inside the bumper -- an impossible task without your video! I didn't have to take off the whole bumper, but I did need to loosen enough parts (with hidden screws) to get my hands in. And I learned from you that it needed to be taped or glued in. I couldn't have done it without your video! Thank you very much!!!
David Schiferl can you remember which ones you loosened to be able to do the sensor?
Great video but one important thing. I have just done this and found that once you have taken out all the screws the bumper slides backwards away from the car, that way you don't break the plastic tabs
Thanks for the video, my G. I've got an E91 with PDC sensors and someone crashed into my rear left corner - got a deep dent and a dead PDC sensor.
I bought the sensor and I've got all the tools ready to go. So I'll attempt repairs tomorrow morning.
Thanks bro. Someone backed into my car and hit the passenger corner where the molded angle is. 86 year old with no insurance and a shitbox of a truck he spray painted black.
Anyways I tried to pry the dent out by the muffler angle and had no leverage or room so I pulled the bumper. So much plastic!
Overall took 1 hour from watching your video to tackling it myself to putting it back on completely. Those upper 2 wheel well and last upside bolt took the LONGEST probably 20mins of that hour. Holy ouch my hand hurt from scraping things.
Taking the wheel off would be easier, but also harder. So I get it. Deal with the pain. Otherwise very straight forward!
I watched an auto body mechanic remove my 08 328i rear bumper cover and he did not have to remove the tail lights. NOne the less this is a good video.
Thank you, this is the best bumper removal video
Great video, thank you so much
Is the CA - Comfort Access antenna "in bumper" visible anywhere in this video? Thanks!
THX - it's always challenge to find clips :) Thanks
will this work for a 2006 330? Also I have a cut on the bumper could I use a glue in the inside to bond the cut ? No separation on the cut or paint damage.
Superb tutorial!
