Every video is a delight to watch! Love your approach - you really convey the sense of anticipation and discovery of each place. I think that’s what sets you apart from so many other travel/adventure channels - looks like others think the same, more subscribers! Safe travels and take care.
I have watched each series since the GDMBR and really felt like being a part of the experience. Thanks Mat! I have not been able to travel since the pandemic so these videos help to fulfill my desire for travel. Cheers 😊
I'm really pleased you feel this way when watching these videos. I hope you are able to get out traveling again soon. In the meantime, I'm glad these videos help.
Another brilliant video Mat that had me laughing out loud a few times. I’d behave yourself at home. That’s Judas cradle looks painful!! The cathedral was just break-taking. Can’t wait for your next instalment
Lol.....hula-hoop....that is EXACTLY what I was thinking (about 16min in)....love them humor you bring to the adventure. Right up my alley. 😊 Thx for bringing us along!!!!
That cathedral was a real treat, it got me thinking what is the most impressive thing I have built with my own hands, a birdhouse in school probably? And to be honest that more closely resembled something out of your museum visit.
So fun to see you stumble upon the Frank Gehry designed museum (the big swoopy metal thing). That's bucket list for me as a former Architecture student.
What historical beauty ❤ Very informative. I wish I could remember more historical facts, but sadly, due to the stage I am at In life, I can't remember jack😂 I would say have your wits about you next time you get shut in the cupboard! Thought that was a regular look for you😂 Another lovely video, great work.

Now your bike touring the way I do! I have to stop and look at the flora and fauna to figure out what it is. I posted pics on instagram that place me on GDMBR in MT relative to you in ‘23.
@big_gar_mt Your mention of Adventure Cycling group at Huckleberry Pass placed you one day behind us. My brother laid over in Lincoln and you passed him. My brother camped at Lama ranch and Adv Cycling group was there. At Lincoln I departed GDMBR for home. I had ridden Lincoln to Helena. Last summer.
What if you get home Bert and Caroline produces one of those pointy pyramid contraptions you jest about from the cupboard ! Then you might have a proper PITA......................... 😱🤣
I feel very lucky that it doesn't cause me too many problems. I've heard from people who have had similar operations but experience a lot more issues. Cheers 👍
Hi. I work on the care industry as a support worker for people with learning difficulties. It's a lovely job. Ideally, I'd split my time between that and TH-cam. It depends how things go. Cheers 👍
Hi. Thanks. I'm glad you enjoyed these videos. I have plans to come to Germany for a couple of weeks in my small van, hopefully later this year. If not, definitely next year. Cheers 👍
Maybe. I have to think about it. I'm just worried that they wouldn't be perfect. I can make them to be sturdy, but they are never perfect. I always manage to get something slightly wrong.
@@matryderadventures all part of the charm… personally I’d be ok with that if they were advertised as such, plus, you’d probably get better with each one?
I haven't set anything up yet but will probably track my progress on the TransAm using my Garmin Inreach. I'll provide a link to a URL once I've set it up. Cheers 👍
Ah. I see. Ross (editor) created these. I don't know exactly how he does it but I know it's not done using an app. He may add to this reply but I know he has to scan maps in to Photoshop/Paint or something. I'll get back to you.
Hi Mat, I'm slowly catching up. I had previously suspected that you are minted, now it's confirmed. Hopefully it'll compensate for having only a little sword. Maybe your bad back was due to you carrying your wallet in your rucksack. MRA merch would be good now that you're reaching influencer numbers 🙂 Cheers 👍
@@matryderadventures Excellent Mat! You can expect a phone call from my Saville Row tailor to discuss design parameters. My T-shirt can say "Mat Ryder is great", and Mrs P standing next to me wearing hers saying "it's true, I've watched his videos" ... A mug would be great, I'll call it The Ryder Cup.
Ross and I started this channel together. He does all the editing (the real work). He's in a few of the videos, including the latest one where we ride across the country.
Dang it, I thought for sure I was going to win. Hey, I don't know if anyone else is interested, but while you were talking about the new financing approach to your channel it got me thinking, without giving away information about employer? what profession are you in? Just a general sense of what you do if you don't mind. An engineer, in the medical field, maybe an off-shore geologist? thanks.
Hi. I've had a lot of different jobs but never really found the right one. At the moment I work as a support worker for people with learning disabilities. It's a great job and it gives me a lot of flexibility with working hours etc .
@@matryderadventures I think that is absolutely wonderful. There is no better work than helping others, bravo. So much respect for that. thanks and cheers from colorful Colorado!

Thanks. I'm taking that thing down the tip as soon as I'm back 🤣🤣. I loved that cathedral. Definitely one of the highlights of the whole trip.
Ahhhh, home of my ancestors..one day I'll go there 😊
It's very laid back and very cheap.

I'm disappointed you haven't self built something more impressive. Maybe aim for a small church and work your way up from there.
Back pain is no good! Hopefully you are now healed and back to normal. :). Great episode, thanks for sharing. :) :)
Thanks Jacqueline. I'm right as rain again now. Thankfully it was just a blip. Cheers 👍

That was a particularly impressive building. I hope you make it over there. Bilbao is definitely worth a visit. Cheers 👍
Another good update Matt, really enjoying this series. As I mentioned previously, a great concept.
