I like basically everything that was revealed and everything that went up for pre-order, but I’m all in on the Classified line. I love the 60th anniversary Halo Jumper, I’m getting multiples of that one, for sure. I also really like Night Force Falcon and Quarrel, Star Duster, Raptor looked better than I expected. I’m in the minority and I’m least impressed with Road Pig…..even though I really like the Dreadnoks, he’s my least favorite and he looks like a flat blob with “doodle” written all over him. Maybe I will think the figure will look better when they show more pictures.

I really like the look of Raptor, I've been saying for ages that I'm increasingly in love with the crazier shit and I think you're right - he's come out better than expected. For me, I liked Raptor the best. I never had him as a kid and was wondering how they would do him in classified. Glad they went with the mechanical wings. I like Road Pig but I think I need to get him in hand. Sometimes I feel like his face is derpy/cartoony and some times it looks okay to me. For Starduster, I feel like there isn’t enough accessories to justify the deluxe price. He looks good but feel they need to add more. I got in the line after the cobra island vipers, so I hope the retro vipers have that color scheme and are retooled a bit. Glad to see they are releasing a Mindbender because he was hard to get for many.
Hi Davidr - thatnks for commenting. I get what you mean about Road Pig's face, but I've seen more good than bad angles so I reckon its gonna be decent. I came across a few cabinet piccies of him earlier and the real version looks decent to me. It is great that the retro line is giving folks a chance to get versions of those harder to find characters from the early days. I'm curious how much they may do with the Viper - although I suspect it might just be a slight re-paint like the Snow Serpent? Time will tell. Is this your first time commenting? If so; "welcome" :)
Taken as a whole I think what they showed off was very good. I missed out on the original Dr. Mindbender so I'm happy a Retro Card version is coming...I'm interested to see how he looks vs the original version. I feel like he's still going to have the soft goods cape, but I wouldn't be against a plastic cape. I also never got the Viper, so looking forward to a chance to get him now and yeah I know I could have gotten the Viper 3-Pack, but then I'd have multiples of the same figure and I'm not into having multiples of the same figure. The 60th figures looked really good...if Amazon ever has a good sale on them I'll get them...if not I'll likely pass on them. Road Pig was basically a home run for me, really impressive. I have the same problem with the vehicles. I did get Scrap Iron and the Trubble Bubble and the rocket launcher and trubble bubble respectively do just that - hang out in my toy box. It's a shame, but I ain't got the space too. Although - I'm less into the CLAW in general anyway, so its all good. The one that pains me is the Vamp - I wanted a Clutch figure :(
Raptor was an accountant for Cobra, so unless that's changing in the Energon Universe, the background must just be a mistake. He does look freaking awesome though. I just couldn't pass on Raptor and Roadpig. Absolutely fantastic looking figures! Once again you and I agree on the two packs. I think the Twilight Guard looks cool, but I'm not into the Steel Brigade and I'm already happy enough with my Crimson Guards. Maybe if it hits the discount bin. Glad to see you're also a Law and Order fan 🤪
I don't remember Raptor being an accountant in the Action Force iteration I used to read. I remember him having a bit of a barny and an ongoing feud with Storm Shadow though. Was that in the proper GI Joe Comics? Steel Brigade is just a big miss for me. I went in on the Falcon/Quarrel two-pack but it kind of irks me that I'm basically going to end up with an SB figure I'm not into (cause the head's getting swapped ASAP LOL) but I want Quarrel & the Falcon head so... Yeah man - Law & Order are awesome. Just Big Lob to go and we're looking at a full Rawhides compliment!
If the HALO jumper had more options to display as a pilot (as it was originally called), I may have been on board. The buck (and overlay) is 100% Airborne which we already have. The helmet and gear are part of Ripcord which we will see soon enough. The camo face and guns are something more akin to Hit & Run which I can also wait for. HALO may be the weakest offering shown, especially knowing the price point.

Oh - Dawn Moreno - yes, tat would be awesome. She was on my Convention Season wish list (of which not a great deal has come to be 🙁) Thanks for the info on Star Duster. He was not a character I owned as a kid so have little knowledge of him. The beige is... really beige LOL
