US Marines deployed to Southeast Asia for a long time have joined military exercises with the Philippines, as the United States strengthens its ties with the strategically located ally.
Positioning the Marines at the forefront in the Indo-Pacific is part of the Corps' plans for joint exercises, security cooperation and a shared commitment to advancing peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region
