This was so much fun! I hope it helps many people make many books!
I'm working on my own comic and this really helps a lot!
This has definately been helpful, trying to apply some of the tips mentioned as we speak.
This feels like one of those jobs AI will be able to replace easily!!
@@unaninated Nice!
@@amantedelmondo1787 Good luck to them!
I am really glad my comment complimented you. I meant it ! And the fact you care enough about this project to consult a professional colorist shows even more how good this is. I know many people who would never seek out help or even advice from someone who does similar work, like a colorist for you. It just shows that yes your a great artist but your also willing to seek out and listen to professionals so you can become better. Great stuff!
I appreciate all your comments and feedback Paul! It's good to have regulars I see here all the time!
An art podcast would be super cool . It doesnt even have to always have guests it can just discuss different art topics!
I really like the collaboration of practical application from other experts. It’s a good format, keep it up.
This was much more interesting than I first thought. Love the color layer advice he gave. I think when it comes to art, something thats often overlooked is "other people". If its art, music or whatever. Involving other people and their input is something I should have done more over the years.
Color is way more complex than most people realize, but ultimately it's about creating patterns and breaking them.
I'm a longtime follower of Brad AND Kurt's ... and absolutely love both of you guys! I own nearly all of Brad and Kurt's courses and can enthusiastically recommend BOTH!
REALLY love the interview format, Brad! It's awesome to see other artist's workflows, especially with your own artwork! It has the knock-on effect of introducing us to other artists that we may not know about, and the discount code (which I totally used!) is just the cherry on top. Thanks for this, I'd love more!
Hey Brad. It warmed my heart to see that you did an interview with Kurt. His instructions of colour are on another level, and I personally have immense respect for the way he works. Thanks for putting up this video :)
Love this format. More please! ❤
Absolutely enjoy all your videos Brad. You have a way of delivering information in such a friendly non intimidating way. I recommend you all the time. Keep up the awesome work.
Seriously. I follow quite a bit of art TH-cam channels and Brad has this way of keeping me so very much engaged. I haven't been able to put my finger on what it is, but at the end of the day I'm just happy that his channel exists.
This was a great video! I usually think of "interview" videos as just being a recording of the interview, but this one really leaned into your strenghs in style and presentstion. You walked us through the interview you'd had (like your review videos!), which I think made this both more interesting and more accessable!
Kurt is the best!! I kept reading and watching all this color theory stuff, but his videos are what made all that stuff snap into place for me in a way I understood. KMR is an RGB angel as far as Im concerned.
Thank you! I like this format.
As a former pro colorist this was such an interesting watch lol, loved seeing what little tips and tricks you picked up and be wowed by
It really improved it! 😊❤
i think the interviews are a great idea! I would love to see WLOP on one of these interviews.
I had the chance to help out with my friend's flats. I was kind of an assistant-assistant but it was great fun. An opportunity to really take advantage of CSP's tools to get things done. We both learned a lot from it.
Good to see you! Glad you saw the great fun of flatting! ;)
Loved this! I say collective knowledge never hurts! Feel free to make more interviews! And thanks for this!
8:23 Oooooooh! I love the color casting and ambiance from that energy beam shot.
It grounds it sooooo much into the environment.
❤️
I like the format very much Brad and will happily keep watching as long as the balance is right. There were some good tips here whereas other channels focus too much on promoting and advertising (Courses etc) too much.
Brad and Kurt together! Awesome. 2 of my fave channels.
Yeah!
Love this format, it’s a great way of learning something! ⭐️
I love Kurt's videos on color!!!
Talk about next dimension thinking and planning. This is an awesome awakening. Keep up the interviews.
This is super interesting and now I have another artist to watch on youtube!
Great video. Thank you for introducing Kurt. Heading over to his channel right now.
Enjoy!
I really enjoyed this. I would love to see how he would handle coloring THE SAME panel twice - doing the panel once in daytime light and fun energy, and maybe a second time as night/dusk with a feeling of danger!
amazing ! very helpful information
Great format, it would be great if you do more collaborations or interviews like this. It’s always helpful to see how other artists work.
This was WAY more interesting than I thought it would be.
❤
Enjoyed this format.
Loved the video!! would love to see more Brad!!
Great Video, Valuable info, Love the Format!
this is awesome! I really enjoy your content and this just bumped it up another notch. Love and Thanks 🙏🏾 🇹🇹
Yes Brad, more like this, this was interesting.
Very much enjoyed this interview video Brad. Thanks!
Really liked this format, Brad. Keep it up!
Kurt is great guy and I learned a lot from his channel!
This is amazing and very useful! thanks!!
i bought many of kurts courses, they are super affordable and helpful
Thanks so much!
A crossover by two of my favorite artists on TH-cam! I love your stuff and ColorWithKurt's videos.
Yay!
@@colorwithkurt I actually think I subscribed to both your channel and Brad’s around the same time, like 2014. I also bought courses from both of you as well. Really improved my art.
Hope to see you complete your comic soon. And will follow your journey onto other your venture, doing massages. You’re a great teacher and maybe I’ll see you do a video that might help me take care of my elderly mother’s sciatica.
This is rad, I somehow tend to be working on projects that align with what you are doing. The way your comic has been coming along is truly inspirational. Currently I'm also working on my comic and am in the colouring stage and it feels every panel has been a fight to get the mood right. I would love it is I could show you some of my pages and get your opinion!!
Yes. Absolutely, do more of this kind of content.
Im not usually a fan of interviews, but the way you did it was pretty good. I dont like them because I always feel so awkward when I hear two people who don't know each other, with different senses of humor and stuff, talking together. But you cut out the conversation part of it and only played the answers and let us know what the question is in VO. This worked so much better than regular interview videos imo.
Thanks! Brad is good at this! The full interview is a ton of fun too. We get into the weeds with color info.
Always sooo Amazing, always soo helpful Barad. ❤❤
Great video those tips and tricks are pure gold
Loved this!
I've been binge watching his channel bought 2 of his courses recently, he's so awesome!
Love the interview and very informative.
In the future, if you do more zoom interviews, try to record to the cloud if you can. There are settings in Zoom that allows cloud recording to capture the shared screen and the participants screens separately as well as together so you can get a cleaner image to cut to the interviewee.
Love your content and its always so helpful to an artist learning to draw like myself.
This was great! I'd love more interviews.
I found this really interesting. I would love some interviews with artists on composition.
Hell yeah, love the new format, great framing, obviously I'm a fan of the channel so I know you, but I would think this is the sort of video that can easily go viral!
this was really interesting. Like this format. It was informative, pratical, without giving the recipe. Would love to see more of the comic book developing side of things. One thing I wonder, how differently webcomics artists approach this vs printing comics
This was really informative. 🙌🏻
Love the interview direction! Reach out to the Drawfee folks! An interview with them would be great! Love your videos :)
I like the format. This was cool.
This was good. And thanks for using Clip Studio
I'm doing all of my pro comics work with it. Great app!
Per your intro: “I review tech for creative professionals”
It’s only fitting that you have said creative professionals in your videos. Character designers, Storyboard artists, concept artists, matte painters, animators, illustrators, comic artists… and anything else I missed.
I’d love to see workflows other than a PC + Cintiq.
I'll watch whatever you make my guy
Hey man Ive enjoyed your videos for awhile now and this video feels like something else (really interesting) definitely great. I think you might have stumbled into something neat.
Interview ideas reach out to Scott Kurtz, Danielle Corsetto, Jake Parker, Chris Piascik, Brad Guigar come to mind.
also the colors chefs kiss
This was helpful ^_^
This was enjoyable Brad and yes i think that if U have the time to do videos of this nature, U shud. Maybe have a new collection of videos for 'Brads Comic Creation Process' or something and for every project cud be done in this or a similar format also.
[🤷♂️ just spitballin' here]
I second this!
How do you draw your backgrounds? Say, 3d assets or hand drawn?
what comic was that that kurt had coloured that brad zoomed out on called
Black Box Chronicles!
Hello, can you do a review on "one by wacom" pen display ?
I like it
Can you explain the Huawei Matepad 11.5 s device and an app named Gopaint on the Huawei Tablet? 🙂
In all honesty, facecam distracts from what's going on in the video
In all honesty, that's just a you problem. You get used to it
