BMW Compact 318ti - My affordable alternative to Ford Escort RS2000

After 40 years of not being able to afford an RS2000 - I still can't :(
So decided to look for an alternative and found something that fits the bill -

@@garageofdad I'm looking to make a drift car but I want a more torquey motor, do you have any idea what can bolt right in and isn't as expensive as an s50? Thanks bud 👍 from Aus

@@chanuda4824 Suppose the best place to look is on the forums or E36 fb page. But the 1.8 ti can spin the rear wheels and makes a good starter car (I believe) for drifting. But any BMW engine can slot in and a good M52 2.8 with the 2.3 exhaust manifold is the best to go for.
