Great video of real cavers, his descriptions ring true to me. Colorado Bend and its cave tours are a great resource made available by TPWD. I took my kids caving ins AR when they were young. I'd made me happy to see the kids taking part in the cave tours. There is nothing like a cave to trigger that sense of adventure in kids of all ages, but get a youngster underground and it's magical. Watch then closely shortly after exploring a cave as all that climbing and crawling will make their confidence soar, sometimes outpacing reality ;-). Kids love caves!
Start by looking up a local caving club. There are several throughout Texas that hold meetings, organize trips, offer training, and provide a general outlet for all things related to caving, cave research, and cave conservancy. cavetexas.org/texas-grottos
How might I find the map of the caves
Here are some maps from the Texas Speleological Survey www.texasspeleologicalsurvey.org/wildcaves/tsscbsp.php
