More than 250km /hrs is high speed rail, the UIC comment in Leaflet No.: UIC660, Aug 2002. High-speed railway (HSR) is defined by the International Union of Railways (UIC) as new lines with design speeds above 250 km/h and upgraded existing lines with speeds of up to 200 km/h.
