- Langos, pronounced langosh, is a popular Hungarian street food. It's a bit like a pizza except the bread base is fried, not baked, and the toppings are less elaborate than a pizza and they aren't cooked onto the bread. You can buy langos from street kiosks and small shops throughout Budapest and other cities.

Looks crunchy fab. 😘❤ similar to elephant ears or native American fried bread
Mmm, might not have been quite right, but it still looks tasty!
I really need to make this very soon..Looks amazing thank you..❤❤
memories ... in Vienna, on the Prater, they are also selling langos!
Always fancied this since I saw the Hairy Bikers eat some years ago. I used to work with a few Hungarians and nearest I got to their food was a smoked sausage one of the lads brought me. The smoking actually made it smell and taste like it had been in a house fire. I couldn't manage it.
Late to the party, O King O' Pies as I've been away. Looking lovely, you and the langos. I admire your pluck to just get stuck in to recreate summit you're et in foreign parts. When you have another go, please consider a sprinkle of salt on the just fried devils just to make them even less "healthy". Mmmm.
Well, we already had salty bacon!
The hotter the oil, the more crunchy the result, so perhaps try with a slightly lower temp. Alternatively, brush with oil and cook in the oven, more like a flatbread, to get it to be less crunchy. That may be less authentic but it's an option for people who cannot stomach fried bread.
Nice one Keef, I bought a packet of carraway seeds a few weeks ago & I've been waiting for a chance to use them in a recipe, never used them before.
Those look naughty but nice, so I'll give them a go. Thanks for the video.
Well, that were a proper treat, Keef! Fried bread wi’ a dollop o’ summat tasty on top-can’t go wrong wi’ that. Looked bang on an’ all. Reckon I might gi’ it a whirl meself now. Good job, lad!
The langos dough can be made with a small amount of mashed potatoes - this makes the dough harder to overcook since it's more moist, you can try that recipe next time! Mashed potatoes is a wonderful and surprisingly versatile ingredient, my grandma used to add it to cheesecake and it always turned out super moist. Still, your langos looks really good. I like crunchy food so I wouldn't mind :D
Really cool to see this - it’s very popular in Slovakia as well and also “David Dobrik’s” favourite food.
You've done it now, Keef. Everyone is coming to your house for dinner. Set a BIG table.😋
Caraway seeds, sour cream, bacon and cheese equals yummy. That looks so good. Cheers, Keef! 👍👍✌️
Do you ever make good old Halupkis ? Or Cucuninna ? Or Kolachis ? PIierogies ? So good too..From our homeland Ukraine..❤😊
I've made pierogies, but never heard of the other things.
I second this. I would like to see Keef cook a bunch of different Ukrainian foods.
You cooked them too long, Keef. And to keep them softer, put them in a tortilla warmer after you fry each one. Try the oil at 300°F.
gosh, you said langos right! hungarian is a weiiiird unique language. but not weird is its cuisine!
