Well, I never thought I would be having to use my channel to release this song to you all. This is the song I wish I never had to write.
You meet some people in your lives that you think are great, and then after a while you see them for what they really are. Not Rob.
Rob Hiscoe was a truly, genuinely wonderful father, son, husband, brother and friend, and many more to many others.
He first messaged me in 2019 telling me he too wrote lyrics to Leeds songs, he sent me some of the lyrics you hear in this song, I merely filled in the gaps.
He was the life and soul of everything he did, he loved everyone he met, and he gave his time and so much more to people in need.
He never spoke behind people's backs, he never criticised and he wore his heart on his sleeve.
I was fortunate enough to play football on the same pitch as him, share a stage with him, watch Leeds games with him and even though I got to do all those things, I'd give anything to go back and have one more pint.
This video is a tribute to a huge Leeds United fan, a huge personality and a truly amazing lad.
