Lovely video. Be nice to see hornby re release the networker, a lot of emu trains still need doing thameslink 700s , electrostars , class 319 in oo gauge. We can only hope!
Absolutely - any of those three would be great! I'm thinking the 319 is the most likely, as we've had one in N gauge. Love your channel by the way, your vids have been a great help with inspiring stock for the layout :)
Thanks David - yes I wish there were more RTR 3rd rail emus available. With prices as they are I think we're not likely to see many appearing in the near future.
@@sevenoaksOO A few years ago and with my limited modelling skills I attempted a conversion of a Bachmann Turbostar into a Southern Electrostar but yet to be finished. It is a real shame that Hornby did not model the Electrostar with its many liveries
@@warwickroadmodelrailway Yeh absolutely. If you want a bit of help with finishing your Southern Electrostar let me know - were you using James Makin's resin cab fronts?
@@sevenoaksOO yes I used James Makin's cab fronts, would really appreciate a bit of help I think my modelling skills at the time of conversion were a bit short of what was needed
@@warwickroadmodelrailway It is a very fiddly job to be fair - certainly don't beat yourself up. I didn't fully appreciate what I was getting into until I started it, and there were times I felt like giving up on it! What stage did you get up to with your unit, and where did you get stuck? The boards are real and are made by Train Tech. I think they're around £50 each. You can't buy the trains in the video, they are custom made for the layout.
Absolutely brilliant models! Thumbs up. Also Do you do commissioning or just a personal project? - I currently have in my Display cabinet collection, Emu Electrostars class 377 southern / Class 377 Thameslink purple / Class 375 Blue Southeastern / Connex 4 Cig slamdoor 4 car unit / and Nse, Connex and Southeastern 466's from Hornby but very interested in completing with 465's and the exact white/ grey coloured class 375 Southeastern Electrostar shown in you're video! 😉👍
All caught up now - A couple of questions is that a TrainTech platform display, are the announcements recorded and played over the video or a sound module on the layout and did you re spray the SouthEastern train ? I note there is virtually no Southern region modern day stock from the main manufacturers so i had to get a Bachmann 158 resprayed in the Dark Blue livery . Cheers Kev
Hi Kev - yes it's a TrainTech display. The announcements were made using a clever little tool I found online, which allows you to make your own custom announcements. You can find it here: roycurtis.github.io/RAG/. I just recorded the playback with audacity and edited them into the video. Both the 465 and the Electrostar were fully resprayed yes. You're right, there are very few modern Southeastern liveried models available unfortunately :(
A truly marvellous raiway extremely well modelled 👍👏👏
Thank you very much 😊
Pure moving art. Hello from NZ
Thanks! Welcome to the channel :)
Absolutely amazing 👍
Loving these videos. I was until recently the Station Manager for Sevenoaks, and it's a real great effort. Love it.
Thank you very much, really appreciate that and glad you're enjoying the videos! :)

@@Theostrainstyt2024 The Class 73s are 'Jeanette' and 'Janice'.
Amazing. I can tell from the voice that you used roycurtis and railannouncements for the sounds!
Brilliant
Fantastic, really great to see 3rd rail EMU's running on your layout a verry rare sight

Such a fine layout
Thanks for the kind comment, much appreciated!
THANK YOU FOR MY HOME :D

Thanks for your message. I don’t do commissions I’m afraid, they are far too time consuming to make it profitable.

I will have a look at the announcements tool and the re sprays are very good.

Is that electro star scratch built? I’ve never seen a model of one
It's converted from two Bachmann Turbostar units, with 3d printed cabs and underframe detail. Thanks for watching :)
