You may not know really what you do for disc golf, but I can tell you that so many of us love to watch you play. You have inspired so many of us to be better at the sport we love and it's videos like this that really show who you are. In my words, genuine. I messaged you once asking for a driving clinic video and you did even more than that. You broke down my drive and told me what to do. I fully expected no response but I was completely wrong. With your direction, I have improved my game greatly and I will be forever thankful for your time. I wish that one day I could inspire people the way you have. To be better, to bring happiness to others, and to help others who need it. Thank you for all you do for the sport we love and keep on pushing forward in your dreams. You have many of us rooting you on!
It's time to repost this Simon, it is such a good watch. Long time disc golfers and newcomers will enjoy. Also you have so much you can add; marriage, fatherhood, and another meteoric rise, post injury, to people's champion. Thank you PS- people's champion for a long time, maybe was unsaid before.
Brought me to tears. ,but i'm an old guy. We get emotional easy. Lol... Very inspiring. Thank you Simon! I'll be 45 this yr... and am still waiting for my first Adv. Masters win. Took 2nd a couple times last yr., but always seem to "give it away" in the final few holes. I'm really hoping for a win this season. Wish me luck. :)
It's very important that people like Simon have the awesome attitude they do. Though disc golf is still a relatively small sport, having a good role model for kids that models respect, positivity and hard work is essential to creating a good sport culture that's accepting and supportive of new players. My favorite part of the whole video is when Simon says he got good at the sport because he had so much FUN when he played well. Fun is fun of course, but if people can have fun when they do their job or anything in life, success is much more likely! Thanks for being a role model Simon.
You have quickly become my favorite player. Not because of your world class game but your down to earth personality. No prima donna attitude but a sincere love for the game and the fans. As an elder in life I can recognize those who are genuine in their talk and walk. Doesn't hurt that we are deutsch homeys. Viel Glück im Jahr 2019.
I'll never forget watching your 3 eagles on the front nine of the 2017 GBO. I kept score for your card, the Tournament director thought I messed up your scores after the front 9 lol
The Climo story is awesome. I met Kenny a couple weeks ago on his home course. Helped him install some gold tee boxes, trim some trees and pull weeds. Went back a week later to help some more and he saw me and remembered my name. Ment alot because I'm sure he meets new people every day and I know how hard it is for me to remember someone's name I just met 5 minutes later.
Thank you Simon! This hit hard even 5 years later. I just turned twenty and i might be the "kid" you wanted to inspire because this really hit me hard! Thank you for being awesome!
Simon, I am 52 years old, have been playing for about 6 years now. You are far and above the coolest pro out there, in my opinion. Keep it up man! You keep me motivated when I don't have much motivation. I suffered a back injury in 2017 which forced me to retire from my job. The injury limits my mobility and I have spent a lot of time sitting around at home. I have put on too much weight, which exacerbates my condition. I get out every now and then to play. Since i have started watching your channel, I find myself more motivated to play. I will get out there more, thanks to you. Have a great 2020 and Thank You.
Wow Simon you truly are the best. Not only do you make kids smile but awestruck adults like me to. No one makes disc golf more fun than Simon thank you for being an amazing face for a great game. I can not say thanks enough.
Insanely inspiring, borderline tearful story. I played a lot of frisbee with my dad too and this has been a huge sport in my heart the last few years. Thanks Simon. You make me smile 🙂
Simon I’m not exactly a kid, I’m 18, but I just started disc golfing less than a month ago and you have been one of my biggest inspirations! Thank you so much!!!
Crazy to think how far you've come from when this video was uploaded. You are my favorite disc golfer because not only are you talented you just seem like such a good human and embody disc golf in such a warm way. Stoked to see the 10 year update to this video down the road!
Always follow your heart, and never follow the money. That will make sure you always have plenty of money, and are always happy. Thanks for such a lovely story, Simon, aka German Frisbee Boy!
I LOVE YOU SIMON, i live in a very small town and have recently been playing competitively for the past 2 years. Trying to adopt your style and look up to you. You’d make my year if you liked this comment. Happy off season!
You also inspire 40+ year olds who have been playing for 20+ years and still need tips to get better. My best tip to younger or newer players is, if you want get better, play more than once or twice a week. Play EVERY day! Shout out from Minnesota. Keep up the great work and the excellent videos!
You are such an inspiration, not only to disc golf, but to all who wants to share their passion for a sport. Keep up the good work, and now let's go play some disc golf.
Only started playing a year and a half ago but already had the chance to see you play and meet you at the last year's Konopiště Open. Great experience, great memory and I guess your goal has been achieved - you are now the hero we are looking up to.
You're not just making little kids smile, you're bringing some happiness and amazement to us older folks watching what you do and being equally amazed at some of your shots. Keep up the great work and I'll always be cheering for you!
This might be the most enjoyable youtube video ive ever watched. Me and my family followed you at the VPO this year, and you were so much fun to watch. I may never forget you parking one of the last few holes with a big spike hyzer that tombstoned into the ground just inches from the basket. You play with such joy, and such a great attitude. Keep doing what you do, and we will keep watching.
2022...YOU'RE SURE MAKING US ALL SMILE A LOT LATELY BUD! Congratulations on your 3rd big win this year and please keep it up because you're near the top now.
Great story Simon You seem so humble and you really are blessed. I have to say I am 70 years old and planning to retire soon. I have played disc golf but am thinking of taking it up for fitness and if I get good maybe do tournaments. You inspire me and I am sure your family is very proud of you. Take care and God bless Simon Steve Crawford Newark Delaware
Hi Simon, thanks to share your life experience. Recognizing your father as your inspiration, skills and love for the practice. You truly vibrates and give this amazing feeling you live. Even if I started disc golf 3 weeks ago, I wish I can share a game and moment by your side one time in my life. I wish you all the best and safety for double twenty and look forward to see you play and live with happiness and joy your entire life. You are as my dad and mom and other great persons, my inspiration. Continue to live your dream, it's amazing 🙏
The traveler needs must prepare for the Road. Yet, in some stories the Road prepares for the traveler. Your story is foreshadowing without spoiling. Which is of course; genius. Flatball baskets is the most highly evolved thing we can do as humans; so it is you...following your own pure nature...like that of Mr. McMahon's ...I do it cuz I love it, and it is worthy of all my love. I am the Art that this is stuctured for. Go Boy. #thesportofpeace is YOU!!!
what a class act, as well as an unbelievable player!! I got news for you Simon, you inspire more than just young kids. I'm more than twice your age and I find you very inspiring. my game consistently gets better thanks to watching your videos. thank you.
been a fan since day one. 37 years old and you're my hero bro .can't wait for 2019 season you and Eagle are going to tear it up. I fell in love with this sport the first second I tried just wish it was 20 years earlier. So yes I will live vicariously through your tournaments. Thank you so much for giving back to the fans. And you're on your way to becoming the GOAT
You’re amazing and such an inspiration to me and so many others I have also been playing since I was 7 and one day I hope to have a quarter of your skill
No thank you! What a thrill it has been to be following all this. Keep your focus on right things, be a little selfish, enjoy life and the WC title is out there for grabs!
Simon you just keep hitting one home run after another with this blog. I’ve met you in person in KC I think in 2017 and you are as genuine as can be. It’s impossible not to root for you. Hope your 2019 is awesome.
Very smart and humble Simon. You're one of my favorite players to watch. Always having fun and never getting upset like a lot of other pros. Keep up the good work on TH-cam brother
You are a true inspiration to me and my disc golf game Simon! You amd Eric Oakley (at the time) are the reason i switched to Discmania and the reason i just broke the 400' mark for my drives! I watched your vlogmas video on form critiques and went out THAT DAY and broke the 400' mark 3 times in a row! Which is a huge accomplishment for me as i could never get above 375. I wish you nothing but the best of luck and i hope to meet you in the near future
Yea just saw your story video and loved it. I’m an old dude in Texas who just started playing disc golf. I watch your videos every chance I get and have learned a bunch real fast . I thank you and the rest of the DG video community. Love your passion and just straight up
This is so inspiring. I'm a 17-year-old boy trying my hardest to do the same as you did. Thank you for all of this amazing content and all the people you inspire to play disc golf! Much love.
Pure class this guy. Keep doing you Simon. Watching you play is incredible, but hearing you talk about how much you love the sport is just as awesome. Thank you for what you do for our sport!
Last year, I felt pretty special when you responded to my message and told me about courses I might (or might not) play when I was on business in Germany. I met you got to know you a little at the USDGC this past year while caddying for ZMelton. Yes, your skills, your style, your trick shots for sure got you noticed. But I believe that it's your attitude and genuine nice guy personality that got you to the top. You mention that you would like to impress the younger players like KClimo did for you. That's great, but you have already done that for us older guys. #fanforlife
In a sport known for great dudes, Simon still stands out as probably the best dude. I will pay him the highest compliment I know and say that he's the kind of guy I hope my kids end up with one day. Keep being you, Simon!
Wonderful job Simon, you are so honest and explain your story so eloquently. You are an outstanding discgolfer ,teacher, writer, and man. You have already surpassed mcbeth in growing the greatest sport on earth, tremendous job, please keep it up. You are the best !
You are such an inspiration!!!!!!!! The way you play for fun, it just resonates so much. Some days I get so mad at the game, injuries or just not being good enough, but you are such an inspiration Simon!!!!! This truly was an amazing little essay you gave and gives me so much more love for the game, and shows me again why you're my favourite player. Sending love from Canada
Simon, I have been playing this game longer than you have been alive and I have never been more inspired to play than I am after having watched this video. I taught both of my sons to play and the DG community where I live is family. Thank you for making this video. I'm sure it will inspire a lot more people then just me! I already sent the link to both my sons. Good Luck in the future! Keep on Huckin'!!
I've been into disc golf for only about 3 years. I can easily say that you've made me smile a lot in those few years. And now this has brought smiles and tears. Keep touching hearts Simon. 😂
Simon, I think your visit to Salmon Falls is something Uriyah is never going to forget. Keep growing the sport and being such an incredible ambassador. Another great vlog!
I am to old to be a kid except for maybe at heart but just started playing disc golf a year ago and I look up to ya Simon great work good luck this year
Hey man. You are a big reason I am playing the game and definitely your driving skills is what i am trying to accomplish. You are an awesome disc golfer and you always have a smile whenever you are playing. Thanks for all the great videos man.
I'm sold on Simon. Like, I wish I could be the dude's friend. Also, his video on backhand form has tremendously helped my drive. Keep the youtube stuff coming. Love it!
Ive only learn of Disc Golf 2yrs ago but quickly became obsessed with the sport. You have always been my favorite disc golfer since day one! Thank you! My goal is to play on a card with you!
I have just started playing disc golf two months to be exact and I’m playing about even. It’s such a crazy addicting sport. I just won a cage with a ctp today. Can’t wait to practice every day haha.
Great story, well told. Your gratitude and love for the game shines through and makes you an easy guy to like, Simon. Here's a possible ending to the story: 1. Win world title/s 2. Win USDGC title/s 3. Move to Colorado so the Crush Bros can facilitate Discmania's takeover of the region!
Simon I'm literally crying! THANK YOU for putting your heart into the game, for being so wonderful to fans, and for HAVING FUN! Even if you're not #1 as often as you would like, the energy and passion and Enjoyment you bring to the game is wonderful! "Simon doing Simon things" is one of my favorite parts of disc golf! Keep on throwing! Tchuss! :)
I know I'm late in watching this, but I enjoyed hearing your story, and I'm glad you chose to pursue your dream of being a professional disc golfer. You are a disc legend my friend.:) you may be a few years younger than myself, but I still look up to you as a great role model, and an amazing player. Keep doing you man:)
Can't believe I'm just now seeing this, but this definitely my favorite video to date. Seeing someone grow into their passion/career is always a beautiful thing, sir. You are the first person I ever watched on YT when I started seeking to get better and learn more about this awesome sport. Thank you so much for sharing and for just being an awesome human being. 🤜🏼🤛🏼♥️😎
This is a great story..Simon's Journey..I'm not sure why its Titled how to become a pro dis golfer but whatever..Super for Simon to share all this.. Good Stuff!!
Simon Lizotte, you rock. I've been watching you for years. You're quite humble with your talents and skills, I have a feeling you're a Christian with your humility. I think we'd be good friends. This year, I'm hoping to get into disc golf tourney-s. Hopefully, we'll meet and play versus some day. Anyways, super cool story; keep up the good vibes and good luck this year! Truyn Mosher, Sterling Ks.
I have only been playing for a month....I am hooked. I am playing daily and my health has gotten better for it. I hope to be able to take part in my state's tournament scene by the fall.
You may not know really what you do for disc golf, but I can tell you that so many of us love to watch you play. Doesn't matter how many times I watch this, I still feel lucky just to see this guy throw frisbees
Brought me to tears. ,but i'm an old guy. We get emotional easy. Lol... Very inspiring. Thank you Simon! I'll be 45 this yr... and am still waiting for my first Adv. Masters win. You'll get it!
Only as old as you feel! Started slinging at 43 last year.
Me too but I'm really an old guy. Kids anyhow. 😉 I'll be 64 this year.
Keep it up James! The win will come!

After watching this video, I actually was thinking about just that round and whether it was 2 or 3 eagles! :)
Where tf is this video? I've looked everywhere and there is no evidence of a single eagle. Not even on the main card after round 1.

Gave this 60 year old man a reason to keep playing. Thanks for sharing!
I hate that i only found disc golf at the age of 35 :( , zero to slim chance of ever reaching the same greatness you are obtaining Simon!
All smiles watching this, knowing one day Dad Lizotte's son will watch this and realize what a cool amazing father he got!

May be an old video but this was a gem to find scrolling thru. You're kicking butt in Oregon right now. Dad Simon is on another level. Good luck!
I am very new to disc golf. We are fortunate to have people like you to lead the way in growing this wonderful sport!
Cheers from Nova Scotia

Ive only learn of Disc Golf 2yrs ago but quickly became obsessed with the sport. You have always been my favorite disc golfer since day one! Thank you! My goal is to play on a card with you!
You're my favorite disc golf pro Simon! So humble yet such an amazing player. You deserve all your success!
Here's a possible ending to the story:
1. Win world title/s
2. Win USDGC title/s
3. Move to Colorado so the Crush Bros can facilitate Discmania's takeover of the region!
Congratulations Simon! What a journey. Thank you for posting your story and continuing vlogs. I'll follow 🥏🙌🙂
