I started playing disc golf 4 months ago. I am an environmental engineering student and immediately started asking if there were recycled discs. This question happily guided me to you and I am overwhelmingly happy I did. Your journey has been the most interesting and entertaining content I’ve consumed in a long time. I just bought three of your desks and I’m so excited to be along for the ride.

Question. You mentioned that the source material(TPU) absorbs moisture. Does this change after manufacturing? If not, how does this trait change the characteristics of the disc; weight, flight, grip, and durability?

Just bought 5 discs! Keep it up Jesse! I believe you are a trailblazer for the exponentially growing sport of disc golf. I've watched you grow over the past 6 months (that's how long I've been playing dg). Most disc manufacturers aren't even thinking about waste/environment and you are already solving those problems. I feel you. I get up at 6 am make breakfast then take my dog to my local course before anyone else is out and about. Its so peaceful i get to play a round my dog gets to run free and being in nature to begin the day makes it so much better. Ive been doing this here outaide boise idaho for 10 years now my dogs been to around 70 course around the us and to every state except alaska to play with me. I started playing when he was a puppy and have never stopped.
I just started disc golf and found your channel. Watched a bunch of your videos and went to your site to buy some discs. So disappointed they are all sold out. Love your channel and hope to get in on the next run of discs.

I also enjoy single disc golf in the mornings but there is no wrong way to play. Hope all the companies license your idea and save tons of recycled plastic and get you set up for whatever your next big project is.

Hey I've got some ideas for you! I love the ideas of recycled mini's and discs. Have you guys ever thought of using the recycled plastic to make corse signs, baskets, "this way arrows", plastic wisps for around the putting green, mando signs, nets, benches, garbage cans etc... You could even do tree protecters. Basically tap into the corse design market.
A DISC GOLF CART! and a disc storage shelf!
you could even work with disc golf stores for old disc collection and in return provide them with "furniture"

So what's next? IMO I think you should stick to as-neutral-as-possible discs first (I know that's tough as rims get larger). Everyone needs those. I'd say pump out a mid and a fairway, then start screwing around with different stabilities and true distance drivers thereafter. Whatever you do though, I'll support you.
Also, I like the idea of sticking to formational events and objects in the Earth's history for your disc names. That's a cool naming pattern. Plus, Earth's history is LOOONG so you shouldn't run out of names.

I hit the refresh button repeatedly until the site loaded. Had the disc in my cart and checked out 10 seconds after launch. The check out queue says estimated wait time of less than 1 minute but it has been five. How many people could have been faster than me?!?!?
EDIT: Queue loading page never progressed (even though there is a warning not to refresh). Opened a new browser and completed the purchase. Was hoping to be in the first 10 seconds club, but first 10 minutes will have to suffice.

Sadly, this disc is not for me.
I was super excided to receive my Inner Core about a week ago. This is an awesome project and I was happy to support it. However, after a couple of field work sessions, I have serious problems with this disc. Putting within C1 is fine, but when I give it a proper backhand or forehand throw, it wobbles all over the place and is super flippy. If I release it level, it usually becomes a roller.
I would generously describe myself as a novice, so you could try to blame the player. Honestly, I did struggle with off-axis torque early on. However, I can now consistently throw a variety of drivers, mids, and putters with no wobble (or very minimal on a bad throw).
I also only purchased one Inner Core (just a budget thing), so I can't rule out some manufacturing defect on this particular disc. However, if there is one, its not visible from the outside of the disc.
So, for now, I have to sadly say, this disc is trash. :(

About a year ago I was curious what it took to make a disc. I stumbled on your videos and I'm so pumped to watch the journey come to this major milestone. There's so much passion put into everything you create and I can't wait to see this continue to grow!
The mission, the branding, everything about this is what the sport needs. Made a pledge to only buy used discs to lessen my climate impact - happy to make an exception for recycled/recyclable plastic!
Same with switching over to used plastic, there is so much available too for people that buy them and throw them once or twice before deciding it's not for them. I do like AGL/Gateway discs as a company too but I think they are only partial and not full recycled, plus they have stamps. Really liking this next step in the technology evolution Trash Panda represents. Their marketing has certainly seems to have whipped people in to a frenzy too so I hope this launch is just a taste of things to come.

Therapy is what Disc Golf is for me. I've worked in very dark environment for 23 years in the correctional system here in Michigan. There are shifts where I wonder "How do I do this for so long" Recently I've gone through a traumatic event at work. In order to deal with the demons in the correctional environment, I have sought out some "therapies". Disc Golf is Therapy. The feeling you get from the first drive to your last putt is euphoric!!
In my opinion disc golf has saved my life...Period.

It is a great disc! I got my hands on a few during the launch event. Quickly became my favorite.
Casually watching this an hear, "started in Auburn, CA" and immediately am like, THAT'S WHERE I'M FROM!!!! In Sacramento now, but Frequent Auburn Regional Park decently often as it is one of my favorite local courses. Awesome job on the Inner core. It's been a journey, awesome to see it succeed!.

Technical gripe: Why was this video rendered with black letterboxes? Super annoying to watch on an ultra-wide monitor. Just render the file without the black boxes (fewer vertical pixels). Won't affect the quality but can be viewed full screen on an ultra-wide monitor.
Jesse, this might seem silly, but, how do I get your discs, and merchandise? I've been following your channel for awhile, and just watched the one about almost quitting (I was moved to tears), and this one. I would like to support you by buying your products. I don't need them, but, I want them, and would like to support you.
Most of this footage is absolutely gorgeous. Some of it is absolutely stunning. The deer pausing in front of the basket is magnificent. Beautiful film. Captures the same cinematic vibes as my favorite climbing adventure films from people like Peter Mortimer and the Lowell bros. All this on top of the beauty of the Trash Panda - Inner Core journey. MAGICAL.

I really wanted this disc to be my main putter, but it couldn't replace my Judges. However, it ended up being my favorite understable throwing putter in my bag. It's fantastic what you've achieved here. Thank you for growing the sport sustainably!
The last thing I need in my bag is another disc. That said, as soon as I got the email I didn’t even hesitate to buy one. A) Jesse’s goal of disc golf being 100% recyclable is so needed today. So yeah, I’m gonna support that. B) Sorry, no B just buy the damn disc. LOL

Hey Jesse, I had no idea you were from Auburn. I am from Sacramento and I really relate to the playing alone thing. I do like playing with people, but playing alone is what I prefer. There is something very meditative about it.
Been along for a good portion of your journey! I actually purchased one of the minis from the first batch you sold to the general public. It was while I was playing a round, and I was so stoked! A couple months ago I thought I lost it, but I remember thinking to myself, how bitter sweet and ironic that the mini made from trash on the course was potentially trash on the course once again.. then convincing myself that it was WAY too cool, another player would see it and continue on it's journey. Then I found it once again in my trunk as it had fallen out of my bag. I was once again beyond stoked. I'm thrilled for you to achieve your dreams and honored to be a part of your inner core drop today. I snagged myself two. Can't wait to see how they do in the flat lands of Ohio. :) Congratulations Jesse and the rest of Trash Panda!
