Aviar came out in 1984. That "Lazar" stamped Aviar is from 1984-1988. The 149 on the bag is the weight. They came in a box that had basic disc golf rules and throwing instructions. Still have the white rainbow stamped one I got in 1986.
Ahhh! Simon, I'm the designer and maker of the 3D printed mini bag. I sold a handful of them through Facebook and etsy a few weeks ago and was super bummed I didn't know you were taking gifts because I would've totally made you one! I'm so glad someone else sent it to you, this legit made my night and many days to come!
You mad them for my husband and we sent them to him. We wanted to give you a shout out but didn't know if you wanted that. We've had so many compliments on them and everyone always asks where we got them from. My husband bill says thanks again so much...
I was about to drop that comment to. Glad you also saw it. I recently watched the Dan brown film. In which the same style of letter making up Illuminati to be able to be read both ways. It is called something of course.. don't remember. But cool. I hope Simon will take another look!
“Simon Lizotte” is always my answer to “who, dead or alive, would you most like to have a beer with?” It’s still on my bucket list, but sending you some great Ohio brews to enjoy will have to scratch that itch for the time being. Glad you like the custom six pack holder! Cheers!
Hope you like the DiscDot, Simon! And I hope you saw the second package, the first one you opened was from one of our team members, Eli Bear 😊 your other package has extra goodies in it!! Merry Christmas!
Thanks for the DriSeats Waterproof Seat Covers shout-out Simon! Hope the DriSeats help out in the car after those sweaty gym and elbow rehab sessions. Hope you get healthy and come back stronger than ever.
Simon, I feel like you are one of my best friends, despite never meeting each other. Your positivity and humility is motivating me to be even better human. I cant imagine anyone hating you, I bet you are loved by everyone you meet. Much love and merry christmas, dear friend.
Darn!!! I was hoping you’d “reopen” the BIRDIE chip and card trays I sent you for the BIRDIE disc golf game. I’d love to print some more for you to give out with those game sets you’re thinking about giving away! Reach out to me if you have time!
That’s pretty cool man, but u deserve it. A lot of us consider u the people’s champion. U have a huge heart and bring a lot of love to the game along with some good advice and tips. Thanks for being u.
Thoroughly enjoyed this video. Great job by the fans sending in gifts and great job by Simon in helping promote their companies, individual endeavors, and straight artistic talent. Videos like these are why I love disc golf and respect Simon Lizotte. He is an ambassador of the sport and understands the importance of the disc golf community around the world.
From the CHS Varsity lid to abducted by aliens hanger. Great variety of friendly and loving gifts. It's like an echo of the love Simon brings to the game and the community. I hope one of the birdie games goes out to the Bremen crew. Happy holidays
Have you thrown an ultimate much and if so how far? Would give me a goal to reach, am 73 and enjoy just throwing discs both forhand and back, love watching them fly. No disc golf yet but soon!
I actually just found a disc that got lost in a hay field. Usually, i’ll lose it and then once it gets cut I either never find it (actually, the neighbors found one that was under dirt somehow. Crazy story that they found it. Anyway.) or the disc did not get cut up. (The mecanism to cut hay on our level of farm, which uses older equipment is a bar that goes back and forth like a hair trimmer and then rollers to press the hay. This I believe has never really ever messed up the discs besides scrapes and the sunfading and dirt stains.) But recently more modern, expensive equipment was used, called a Haybine. (It’s like a combine for hay, without actually being a combine. Just a really fast way to cut hay. It uses spinning disc like blades to cut the hay. You can zip thru the field at like 25 or 30 mph compared to like 10.) Anyway, I found my first bought disc, (besides a starter pack) a champion mamba (really overstable btw, idk why.) absolutely chopped in half. Crazy. That’s a long story but that chewed up disc reminded me of it. Losing discs in the hayfield is one of the most frustrating things. I’m glad the hay got cut right before winter so the hay isn’t growing. Usually you have only a few weeks after it gets cut until you start losing discs.
You are a great ambassador of the sport and you give everyone incouragement just watching you videos to just keep playing. You deserve all the thanks and appreciate from all of us. Thank you for being awesome and hope you guys have an amazing xmas!!!
Simon, the actual present of Disc Golf Engiadina (Rumantsch for Engadine, you pronounced it perfectly the second time in the vlog) was the challenge written on the card, did you see it?
I remember that aviar.. I had several...Im not a collector, just a 50 year old disc golfer who started in the 80’s. I would guess it was a very early model though..or a replica of one. Happy Vlogmas!
Die Lizotte-Scheibe ist krasser als du denkst. Als du sie dir ansiehst bei 8:53, sieht man als du sie umdrehst, dass da auch Simon steht. Voll geil gemacht! :)
Hey Simon Can you do a vlogmas of the performance apparel you wear during the different seasons? How do you stay warm and flexible enough to throw without that bulky coat? What specific suggestions?
Good job on the camera settings. Lighting for the setup was great. You were tack sharp. Only time it wouldn’t focus it seemed because it was small things and the lighting was too dark. Great job on the video anyway.
Dang man nice haul lol. I dont get on Instagram much so I didn't see the post-it, but definately have something I want to send you one day. Do this again next year my dude.
bro that speed cube is sick! you should learn to solve it if you have a weeks worth of down time there are tutorials on youtube. I have 100% faith you could learn to do it.
Albemarle = Al (as in Al Bundy), buh (like "bruh" without the r) and mar-ul. Al-buh-Mar-ul. 1st and 3rd syllable stressed the most, with "marle" rolled together like the word "quarrel." Albemarle is near the beautiful Uwharrie National Forest of North Carolina.
Have you noticed yet that the Lizotte disc says Simon if you flip it upside down?
I saw that too! Simon one way, Lizotte the other. How cool!
Beat me to it! I caught that! Very cool
Time stamp?
8:45
would have been even cooler if it said:
Simon
Lizotte
so the symmetry would be undoubtedly seen

Ty for that. Was wondering. What kinda value does it carry? I would imagine that is one hell of a gift!
i have 4 of them and my son and i always carry one . perfectly neutral flight and the best Aviar ever.
That’s awesome. Thanks for the info.

5:25 "Chocolates" Oh little did he know about those liqourise
Someone needs to send him Finnish candy sample and ofc with salmiac.
maybe some salmiakki kossu too :)
You know your doing something right when random people show you this much love.
8:43 - I don't think Simon saw that. But that disc says Lizotte in the front and Simon when you turn it upside down
Very cool!
“Thanks Chris...........Charles”. That had me dying
Now when you get healthy, you should do a round with all the discs you were sent!
Yeah........except that Aviar lolol.

Simon the "Lizotte" PD2 also says :Simon" upside down!

Just ordered one of those practice round prince pins! So cool!!!
Looks like one of those small bead Aviars before they had the big bead.
