@@marytheodorou8202 I am sorry, Mary. I didn’t see your comment until now. I attended the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition (this is where I got my RHN certification). I also took classes at Living Light Institute and with Alissa Cohen (this is where I got my Raw Food Chef certification). CSNN and Living Light institute are both schools and offer certifications (their programs are much more comprehensive). Russell and Amy offer online classes. I don’t think they offer any certifications but you can always double check with them.

Oats are a great binder! As long as there is enough texture in the burgers (because oats can make veggie burgers mushy a little), I love using oats from time to time too.
Do you ever enjoy a "cheese" layer on these Petra ? and if so what would your favorite be ? Is there any magic combo to simulate it that you know of ? Nutritional yeast shaken into a freeform disc (edit- on a heated grill or pan) and then sprayed with olive oil or something like that maybe ?
I don't buy vegan cheese in the store. I don't think I ever have, to be honest. I don't find it particularly nutritious, so to answer you question, "no". Tanner does eat cheese (regular cheese), but I have never seen him put cheese on a burger, be it regular burger or veggie burger. We usually just use tomatoes, lettuce, sprouts, and mustard. I also like avocado (Tanner doesn't :)

I am so confused!! I want to make these so badly but it says in the video to use rice, when I looked up the recipe page to print the ingredients there is no rice. How much do I use? I have all the ingredients I just dont want to make them and mess them up. Thank you!!
Hi Samantha - I just watched the video and don't see rice mentioned. I had a recipe for veggie burgers with rice, but a lot of people requested a grain-free version, so I modified it. If you'd like the old recipe (with rice), I can send it to you.
