I use bamboo skewers as rebar in the track casts that I make on my expeditions. Also you may want to wait until it is dry and then use a Sharpie to make any dates / names / location, etc.
Found huge 16-inch footprint in a muddy patch where workers were renovating my fence. The tracks appeared 3 days after they left. They are HUGE and look like massive human footprints, maybe even bigfoot prints. I need to wait for the mud to dry before I cast them.
Good day The talcum powder will result in a white foot impression the will show the lines and shadows for identification purpose more prominently. The weight of the plaster will push away any excess talcum powder on the casting surface and will not damage the foot impression. Plaster Mix Mix 50 % plaster with 50 % water I do not add any additional water after starting the mix. Mix until you reach a thin to medium porridge consistency before casting. You can also use two L shape aluminum to dam the cast. that you can move in or out to fit the print. Plaster reproduction expert South Africa
the proportion is in volume or weight ? You put some talcum powder using a mesh and cover all the surface ? Before that you spray with some water or hair fix spray ? I would be grateful for your answer. And I have another proble. If the footprint is in soil its good but if it is in sand or thin powder which is the better procedure ?
@@profmccutch Can you recommend a good hairspray for this? It's windy out here and I'm trying to make a memorable pawprint for my sister as soon as possible.
Hi, in order to ensure that the solution you fill is not damaged in the future, it must be strengthened in the upper part or a grid or metal. You did not show it in the video. Also, you have not completely fixed the frame in the soil, which has led to the solution going beyond the fence, which is not permissible. In the future, keep this in mind when you use this technique.CSI Ukranine
You must use more quantity of plaster, the thick must be at least 2 cm. You must use a glass fiber mesh or a metal mesh in order to reinforce the impression. First use hair fix spray or paint spray for cars or transparent paint spray and talcum powder. Plaster and water must be mixed în a 1,2....1,3 parts plaster/1 part water: weight proportion , put the plaster in water and mix not water on plaster !

Wow. So helpful and informative. This is exactly what I needed to write a scene in my Grafton County Series. Thank you, Mike! Subscribed.

couldn't someone just cover the bottom of their shoe? or burn the shoes after the crime?
Fred Derf yes of course but they don’t usually do that. Most crimes aren’t planned out so well.
شكراً لك
