Brilliant explanation. The only thing you missed is that many other high-bypass engines have a convergent inlet to maximize "ram intake" in order to slow the airflow down to Mach 0.5 when a jetliner is cruising at transonic speeds.
With the sr71 the bypass wasn’t from the intake but it was from the 6th stage of the compressor directly to the afterburner
Well explained, but sometimes need to make a stress on that stall and stonewall absolutely different phenomena
