    Check out some great aerial footage of the New Home Made Cultipacker in action! This is the first time I've every really had a 'real' cultipacker. I used to use a flat lawn roller filled with water, or pack down seed with my UTV or ATV. I can tell you that a 'real' packer makes a huge difference in plot germination! We know, at least some of us, how to cultipack. I'd be more interested in HOW you made the " Home maid " cultipacker. I wish u had included that in this video. Thanks.

    How do you access your plots without pushing deer?

      The property is shaped kind of like a pinwheel if you think about it I access most all of the plots from the center, which is an open field. I put my plots on the edge of the soybean field and when I enter from the center I don't push many deer. It is set up that most of the deer come from the perimeter and Sanctuary parts of the property.

    Awesome drone footage. That plots looks great and you should harvest something out of there. Thanks for sharing

    I'm sure you use the "follow" feature most often but when not how do you control the drone and a tractor, atv, whatever (drone controls on lap)?
    You have so many small plots (this one, triangle, etc...) that I'm a bit confused (Ok, very confused) what stage their at (added watering hole, prepped, seeded/fertilized, etc...)?
    I visualize your land with (1.5 dump truck width) snake like paths interwoven throughout leading to various spots of interest (hunting blinds, ponds, watering holes)?
    After the food plots (for animals) have started growing do you just leave them, top them off or mow them down for fresher growth?
    How many "big" food plots, watering holes, ponds are you planning(?) to end up with?

      Boy that's about 10 questions in one :-) you've got the rough idea, a whole bunch of small plots scattered around and a couple medium sized plots and watering holes on almost every one of them. They are all usually at different stages. As far as mowing it depends if they are perennials or annuals. The perennials get mowed regularly for maintenance. The annuals just grow and continue to grow until the next season

    • @kapperoutdoors
      @kapperoutdoors  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you. That made my day coming from a great guy like yourself . Too bad we are so far apart, I'd send my four boys over so you'd have free child labor. Hahahahaha. JK. I think we'd make great neighbours.
      Work hard, play harder.

    Why did you decide to leave the corn and weeds?

    • @Morris_AndrewLee
      @Morris_AndrewLee 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      He probably left it for more Structure and cover around the plot.

    • @benm8257
      @benm8257 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah kinda looks like more weeds than corn but it might be a mix.

    • @bowhuntingforlife
      @bowhuntingforlife 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ben M I don't think it's a mix it's all foxtail. It doesn't look like there would be and eats on that corn either.

    • @kapperoutdoors
      @kapperoutdoors  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I gave the corn a chance till the end of the season to see if it produced anything. There might be some corn mixed in but probably not much. Just didn't have the extra time to redo the whole thing.

    • @kapperoutdoors
      @kapperoutdoors  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah since the corn might not have a lot of ears on it the cover is my backup plan :-)
