It’s so great to see some love for Tombland!! I love the Shardlake series. The Other Bennet Sister, The Sin Eater, and The Pillars of Earth series are books I’d love to read. Blood & Sugar sounds like a good read too.
These all sound good! My favorite author, a historical fiction writer, is Sharon Kay Penman and she has a new book coming out this coming year!! I can't wait. I love British monarchy historical fiction because of her books. Her book Sunne in Splendour about Richard III inspired my trip to Leicester and someday I want to visit Fauntevraud Abby and Chateau Gaillard because of her Plantagenet series.
I am so excited to check most of these books out! I’m especially pleased about Ken Follett’s new one coming out next year. Thank you for some wonderful recommendations.
Oooo! I love historical fiction and you just gave me a ton of great new recommendations that have not reached my radar yet! So glad I found your channel. Subscribed and looking forward to "reading with you" in 2020!... ✨😎✨
I was expecting to see The Confessions of Frannie Langton by Sara Collins on this list... The Winter Soldier and The Glovemaker sound appealing to me. TFS :)
The Shardlake series is great. I feel like I'm actually back in that time when I listen to the audiobooks I have of it.
Lovvvvvvv that Follett series. Just started The Evening& The Morning. EPIC storytelleng!!! :)

Ooh I've never read any of hers - will have to check her out!
Thank you for this recommendation list. I shall be hunting out the Winter Soldier. Much appreciated.
Oh good I really hope you enjoy it! Even if 'enjoy' may be the wrong word for such a sad book...
Great setting for this Book Break! Trying to decide which of these to read first ...
Hehe thanks for loaning your fireplace!

@@BookBreak Really? It's similar-ish in premise to Blood & Sugar but set about 50 years later
