Honestly, out of all the 2D animators, I think Don Bluth is one of my top favorites, if not my top favorite. There’s something about his style and how smooth, yet detailed and expressive it manages to look and feel that’s always appealed to me.
A shame that his films turned out to have more misses than hits. But then again, that can’t really be helped, though; some of them were just so stupid.
i grew up watching Anastasia, Thumbelina, Troll in Central Park and a bunch of others. i’ve always loved his character design so much. i still own all the VHS tapes because i was obsessed with those movies when i was younger.
