I make egg bites with my instant pot. But the one comment I wanted to make is that these taste great cold as well as hot. I have to meal prep for my work, and these egg bites are great just out of my lunch bag.

Just an FYI on the cottage cheese texture - if you can find it, the small curd variety does away with the lumpy texture and it's pretty tasty!

Blending up cottage cheese makes it very similar to ricotta and a great healthier substitute in dishes like lasagna. I blend it and use in place of cream cheese sometimes like spread on a bagel.. or instead of sour cream in chili or on a potato… it is super healthy… I don’t mind the texture if it lumpy though…

♥️Love♥️ Love♥️ Love♥️ the Dash Egg Bite Maker...I have had mine a couple years now.. I only wish the cups were larger.. * I also purchssed the Hamilton Beach Egg Bite Maker they make 2 and are a little larger..*
    They are absolutely delicious!!
They came out with a Dash one that has a larger cup too.. in addition to the 4.. sadly I bought mine before that..they also carry the large version that makes like 12 of them now.. so good with salsa and sour cream on them .!! Love all your reviews!! ⚘
I have the larger griddle 8 in and use it to put tortillas in and make pizzas..
    I love all things Dash!!

Just learn how to season a stainless steel pan.wet sand it with 1000+ grit sandpaper put it on the burner until it starts smoking a tiny bit, add a little oil and you have better than Teflon. Don't put it in the dishwasher or scrub it with an abrasive sponge and you got it.

Cathy, can you do me a favour and next time you make these.. When you have whipped the eggs, let the eggs go through a sieve to simply sieve the thick slimy part away and then add what ever to the eggs you want..
I promise you, that the egg will be more smooth, it does so much to eggs, try the same when you make scrambled. It doesn't matter if you add whole cream, something else or nothing to the eggs after, but the consistency of the eggs is so much more delicious to eat 😁
My ex taught me that, he had taken the education to become a cater and oh wauw that trick changed it all for me. Be aware that the slimy part will look like snot in the sieve after 🙈 But be thankful that you aren't eating it then 🤭
But please let me know what you think, you can even make a video with this trick if so, so more can see the results from this method 😁
But I really want to hear what you think of it 😁
    Have a wonderful day.
Wish I could get this product, but I have never seen it in Denmark. Maybe I might have missed it, will look again 😁 But just doubt it s here.

DO NOT USE NONSTICK SPRAY ON THE NONSTICK SURFACE!. I found out the hard way with my old dash mini griddle. The lecithin in the spray with eventually ruin the nonstick. Then you are making eggs in your mini griddle one day and your eggs don't release and then they are full of pealing nonstick coating. oil is okay and they sell effective oil sprayers that are a good substitute for nonstick spray. The oil isn't the issue, just the lecithin from what I have been able to find.
I have been making egg cupcakes for years just in a muffin pan with straight eggs, maybe some milk or cream and then experimenting with sausage and vegetables. I was always happy with the results. I have been very interested in this devise. If I wsa making a lot this is by no means better than using a muffin pan and an oven. But the apparent options and versaility makes me even more interested int the device beyond the novelty.

I see no reason you couldn't have used the egg bite cups to make brownie bites.
    Just sayin'...
There's now a Dash "Family-Sized" egg bite maker, and it's HUGE!
I bought one and it's way bigger than I expected. I've ordered the Mini and will return the Family-sized unopened.
I'd rather trim down a sandwich than stress about where to store the device.
Note to those worried about how to store the Mini appliances:
They will easily fit in a top cabinet drawer; you just have to decide which one(s) you really need.
-I replaced a full-sized waffle iron, so won some storage space.
-I love my egg cooker, especially now I realize I can steam veggies, shrimp, and Asian dumplings in it.
-I'm looking forward to making (and freezing) egg bites.
-I found the griddle to be pretty useless for me, so gave it away.
-I already have a much better rice cooker.
For those with little or no cabinet drawers, you can always run a pair of extension rods near the top of a cabinet to make a shelf for them. Or you can find a bin/box just wide enough for them and set them in hinge-end down, like you're filing papers; the bin/box can be tucked on any convenient shelf or spot that works. A box with a lid can also support/display something in the kitchen (salt & pepper grinders, sugar, plant, jams/jellies, etc).

Egg prices are high because of greed nothing more. Companies using fewer workers means companies have less overhead and have fewer wages to pay out but fewer workers mean less profit so they fix that by raising prices. But what about the local farms, 🚜 why are they raising prices? capitalism am I right.
