🥺after I was crashed, my whole pelvis and hip area was stuck in that forward sitting position. It started causing severe lower back pain and numbness down my legs 🦵 to do all my exercises while doing controlled movements 🙏 Goodluck everyone 💪
I have this problem, thank you for explaining it.
SI&FI~
In muscle energy, you always clear the lumbars before SI work allowing you to use the spine as a lever. That's not necessary when doing springing techniques but I typically do it anyway. In a left-on-right backward torsion, L5 facets on the right won't close on the sacral facets. I've found you can usually spring both into extension. I probably wouldn't treat a left posterolateral bulge but a central herniation shouldn't cause problems...thanks!
Great techniques but crazy exercise to prescribe to someone in a lot of pain. Way to advanced!
Thanks Stephen. Yes, true posterior sacral torsions are debilitating and retraining must begin with what they can comfortably do. Unfortunately, Paul and I worked with Claire (and all the models) the day before the video shoot which eliminated much of the dysfunction. Would have been more dramatic if we had waited....oh well...next time...thanks!
Hey Michelle~ The L4 spondylolisthesis or anterolisthesis is the second most common vertebra to slide forward & crack the pars. Be careful of anything that places too much lumbar curve in your spine, including stomach sleeping. Never have a therapist place you prone & apply downward pressure on your spine. At this point, you need stability more than mobility. That's why a few rounds of good prolo may eventually help. Get with a great functional movement trainer that understands biomechanics.
I have the same problem and it's increased by days and its pain full , i ll try to do the same in video but it's not full video wher is the second video
Great stuff, most of these techniques work better than hvla in my practice. The home training is to aggressive imo as it places to much pressure on the l5 disc and many times there is a weak disc there as well. Heck I could not do that exercise and I am completely healthy, it is very advanced. Still great stuff I will order the new series.
I incurred a L-4 anterololytheis(vertabrae knocked out in front of L5, with sciatic ,SI joint pain ,especially when sitting. Ive tried numerous therapies.Just finished a round of prolo (its been a year) nothings helped much, so far. Would this move be appropriate for me? As soon as I can sit longer Im ordering your new videos. I love all your videos.
Is this a similar SI joint injury that olympic lifters experience while deadlifting? I think I may have found my problem...
Help! I'v had 2 lumbar fusions and I'm so much worse now than I was before 😭 it was my si joints all along and now I can't get any help 🥺
Hang in there Julie....often the nervous system will calm down
Sir I have the same problem for 20?years untreated as no chiropractor, physiotherapist or any other alternative treatment helped me. Plz. Help me. I will be great ful.
Hi John. Contact him on his website at erikdalton.com goodluck and godspeed recovery
Although I really find these videos valuable, I wish less flexible models would be used. Most of my clients are over age 45 and have less mobility than most models featured.
