    In case you weren't aware, in LDD if you go under view, hover over "themes", you should be able to select LDD extended which allows for unusual color/brick combinations, although you have to color pieces manually with the paint tool.

      Yeah pretty frustrating he totally missed that

      painting them manually isn't that bad especially if you decide to either filter the bricks themselves or use the connected(or same color) selection tool, click on the paint tool and then switch to the color you want all those bricks to be.

    What I normally do is use LDD to build just for the instructions and then import the project to get the bricklink parts list.

    Just don't select a colour when selecting bricks. Place them and then "paint them"
    Or just click the brick in the Step list and you'll see it's available colors

    Studio has an instruction maker too, you don't have to group pieces under steps like you showed. You just toggle instruction maker.

    I'm not usually much of a Lego builder aside from me loving the Bionicle line. But I have new ideas for builds that I really want to make! These software will definitely help me plan and get it right. 👌

      I wasn't a huge fan of Bionicles myself (however I did have like 15 of them lol). I'm mainly a Star Wars, military, and WW2 builder. Military as a broad term for anything and everything military regardless of era. Different from just "military," I specialize in WW2 since I have an extensive knowledge of the events and equipment of WW2 so I'm able to more accurately build representations than that of just broad spectrum military stuff. I've custom built a Willys Jeep (topless with fold down windshield and mounted M1919), Tiger I Ausf E, Panzer IV Ausf G, Higgins landing craft, Pak 40, Flak 36 (with and without shield), recreation of a segment of Pointe Du Hoc, among others. I miss being 12 with an endless imagination and nothing but time. 10 years later I'm broke just messing with LDD for ideas lol

    Interesting. I haven't made the jump yet. I haven't felt the need. Realistically, my builds are scaled back because I also try to keep them possible in Lego Worlds, as well as IRL. So, given the limited parts selection in Lego Worlds, LDD has way more than I need when putting anything together.

    Very simple, Lego ended support for LDD in 2013, so it is now outdated.

    • @glowstickqueen7139
      @glowstickqueen7139 ปีที่แล้ว

      There's Elves dragon heads in LDD's library and I suspect those came out well after 2013, could be wrong though.

    ldd extended selecting ldd extended can fix the colour problem by showing only the colour you have selected and allows you to change the colour of placed bricks

    I just got use to LDD and then found the Studio. Graphics are far superior on studio.
    Do you happen to know how to recenter your focus on a certain area in Studio? On LDD is just right clicking the mouse
