Hey, is there any other advantage to use the lemo export from the hand contoller? For example communicating with a monitor about the focal distance? Because the Teradek RT System is able to show a focus parameter scale on the right side of the monitor it is connected to. Therefore the 1. AC will know where his focus is right now, without looking to the hand unit, which I think is very useful, because it reduces a lot of stress.
Great video, can you clarify however... when assigning channels, you say to place all the motors on different channels. Does that mean you must manually change them if you wish to use the hand unit for 3 motors? Also how can you have focus on one nob, zoom on the joystick and iris on the other nob? I noticed in the EZ video all motors were set and stayed on the same channel. Please advise. Thank you for the videos
The original method for syncing Motors to Controllers is as follows: Motors and Controllers must be set to the same "LORA" and Channel, for example: "H 08" "H" is "LORA" and "08" is the channel. Once all the motors and controllers are "H 08" then each motor is assigned a "motor number". You can decide the motor number per motor, 1-4. Then in the menu of the FIZ you can decide which "motor number" will be controlled by what. If your motor, assigned motor number 1, is on the focus ring of your lens then you will sync the controller knob on the FIZ to motor 1. If your motor, assigned motor number 2, is on the iris ring of your lens then you will sync the iris wheel controller to motor number 2. If your motor, assigned motor number 3, is on the zoom ring of your lens then you will sync the zoom joystick on the FIZ to motor number 3. EZ Mode uses a different protocol to sync all the motors and controllers, but the former method I've explained above still works. "Motor protection please Recal" I got these problem on my motor. Do you know what the problem is? and how to fix All of my motors are not working. Plz help!
This will happen when the voltage of the motor is not stable. It could be that there is not enough power or too much power going into the motor. This is a self-protection mode. Have you tried other ways of powering your motor?
@@TILTA Hello, which device do you suggest to give stable voltage to achieve a good motor quality? is it a bad idea connecting the motor straight to the battery?
This is not a helpful guide at all. Showing how things are already set up, not explaining what different settings are, and not showing how to change settings makes for a pretty miserable guide.
This was indeed a very QUICK guide. Now, where can we found the slow guide?
Hahaha

Please see our other tutorials for more specific information about different settings and instructions for setting up the system!
Way too fast. Useless, in fact.
