Ironclad A20 defeated just now for my third time ever… 😮💨 And it started with a Transform 2 (1 Str 1 Def) into Wild Strike and Disarm 😬. Glad I hung in there.
@@theendofconfusion He sure does. My first ever A20 win I got Akabeko to start. Then Whirlwind, then bottled Whirlwind, then ChemX, Mutagenic Strength, Necronomican. This one was a much bumpier ride haha.
So, if you take 30 damage this turn and another 30 damage next turn because of vulnerability, and use a "draw," you'll gain 1 more energy every turn. The fight will end in the next 3 turns. However, if you have barricade and are invulnerable maybe berserk is justified, but you won't need the extra energy in a barricade deck, and honestly, you'll need that extra draw more than the energy.
It does need the upgrade to drastically tone down the risk but there are plenty of turns where the enemy either isn't attacking or you can block the extra damage for the turn you're playing it, or you can choose not to play it if the fight is short. Ironclad has so many ways to generate a lot of draw that it can be powerful in longer fights (as well as making it easier to draw the Berserk in the first place). It's quite easy to build a very energy hungry Ironclad deck like one with lots of powers or 2 cost cards. Lets face it, in the grand scheme of things there are few turns you're face tanking 30+ damage out of the hundreds of turns that make up each run. Even Heart only attacks 2 out of every 3 turns. I'm definitely not advocating it as a top tier pick or anything and the fact you have to upgrade it and it has no immediate advantage are significant downsides but Baalorlord _never_ picks it up and I think it could have been a good pick at that point in time (although it might have been less good with Brimstone).
@@DanBottiglierihe never takes it because you need so much draw to make it worth it, and even then it still needs to be better than a skip or other rare option.
How close can you get? 5hp is like 3 uses less of singing bowl. 79 hp lost in the final fight, while starting at 75 max hp. Nice showing the middle finger to the rng gods putting the key card 30 cards down while up against brimstone heart.
I don't think he does. He streams on Twitch often though, that's where I watch his runs. XecnaR is his Twitch channel. Fair warning that he plays VERY slow, which is how he gets his insane streaks. He very frequently plays 3-4 hour runs.
these streak runs really go to show how in every single one so far corruption - dark embrace - feel no pain is the real win condition and the only one for clad. kinda boring in comparison to other characters imo
I thought i already watched this, cuz Baalor changes title and thumbnail often. But the video length being the exact same as the last one, that really made me think it was the same video.
Baalor would have been 100% dead without that pstrike pick. Rampage is questionable but reasonable. Not picking it is gambling that you'll find a better solution to hexaghost.
Am I the only one who sees a Frozen Eye purchase and just… goes to a different video? I know it’s nearly always the “best” choice, but the game just feels wrong when it’s in play.
GG. Would be nice to see a streak number somewhere, maybe the description? Thanks for the content
When I see brimstone in the thumbnail, I know that it's gonna be an entertaining run
My fav iron chad relic
My thoughts as well
that fiendfire call was insane lol saved the run for sure
Take a shot every time baalor says "we have to get through this fight quickly" with brimstone
I see Brimstone. I click video. Brain simple. Brain happy.
Question: 1:42:36 if you are a Silent, which potion is better than Ancient for the Heart fight?
Ghost in a jar
These runs are making me okay ironclad more consistent. It’s fun knowing what to look out for a successful run.
1:41:13 too satisfying

Baalor often makes it look easy, but that is very hard to do.

What I learned: Take Rampage
Talk about dancing on a razor's edge with this run!
I do think you undervalue Berserk. An extra energy is huge.

Except that here he was offered it after the Act 1 boss, where it's at its absolute worst.

Xecnar is a good player but like pulling teeth watching... Gave up when he was 45 minutes in and only on floor 8 and it wasn't a tricky run.
Glad you mentioned this I was considering checking him out but I don't have time for that
Wow brimstone without a disarm is crazy to see
Holy crud, so strong yet so close. Nice!
I suggest anyone who enjoyed playing modded content, to check out the character " the colorful" and "The disciple". Great fun characters
Amaz character is fun
@@joshuakruebbe3762amaz character has to be the biggest meme out there, amaz is so funny to watch play spire
My first heart kill was a snecko and brimstone run haha
Does the streamer you mentioned have a TH-cam as well? Would enjoy checking out his content

@thekilla1234 I just looked at his TH-cam videos and one is a silent run that took over 5 hours
Had a brimstone run the other day and still no idea how to play with it lol
Brimstone is very easy. Step 1: Pick up a brimstone. Step 2: Do you have lethal? Step 3: If no, the enemy has lethal on you.

epic run
Day 2 of waiting for berserk
I disagree with the rampage and the perfected strike pick.

Very often frozen eye isnt great, its best when you have to be precise with draw for whatever reason
But yeah I dont like slow runs, 1 hour to 1.5 hours is good for me, 2+ is hard
